Description
===========
I just uploaded this mod I'm making for Fallout 3 to its nexus and decided because fallout NV uses a lot of the same models as Fallout 3 I should UL it here.
Original mod on Fallot 3 Nexus. http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/19949/?
A must have mod if you decorate your home. This lets you stack stuff without items floating, and lets you pack stuff tighter and make better piles of items. Also fixes items moving around without visually making contact.
After years of playing Fallout 3 and NV this is the thing that bugs me the most about the game, objects floating over the surface of tables, shelves and other static objects. As well as objects moving around without visually making contact.
This is not a problem with Skyrim, and going back to Fallout 3 after playing Skyrim, I miss having the extra precise collision.
This mod will help fix that. I have reduced the size of the collision of 317 objects so far (the most common items) and will be working on almost all the movable items in game.
I also plan to make objects like shopping carts and barrels have usable empty space.
Also some items now have multiple collision meshes, like the combat shotgun for example.Because of this I can make the weapon have much more precise collision (see how you can hang a shotgun by its drumclip on a shopping cart in the images. This ALSO means that I can have different Sounds for each collision mesh.
With the shotgun using 2 collision meshes, each mesh can have a different impact sound.As you can see in the Image "Multiple impact sounds" . I have used HAV_MAT_HEAVY_WOOD_STAIRS for the guns wooden stock Left image. Same sound from the original gun, but now on the right I used HAV_MAT_HEAVY_METAL_STAIRS For the mesh around the barrel, because its metal, and I can do that now that the guns using 2 meshes.
So I plan to do this to the guns I give two or more collision meshes and are made of 2 different materials.
This is only half of the fix, the items still float above table tops and other static stuff, though less then before, the items are as precise as I can make them without the models passing through other copy's of there self or other clutter items.
I will fully fix the items Float above stuff with another mod, Precision Collision - Statics.
I do not have fallout NV installed right now and am not 100% sure if this mod will work with NV right away, but i think it should be fine. let me know in the comments if its not working.
There is also a mod for Fallout 3 called Detailed Collisions made by Alexx378.(maybe it will work for NV I have not tried, don't see why not) It's similar to what I'm doing, but its purpose is to make it so you can put objects inside static objects like barrels and stuff. You should definitely get his mod (and endorse it of course) until I make Precision Collision - Statics.

I like it a lot. I think it is the best mod manager there is and likely will ever be for fallout 3 - NV, skyrim and the likes, so get it. Its a master level program so you will have to learn its in's and out's before you can get everything setup, but its worth it.
