So its been a long time but I'm getting back to work on this mod. Not a lot for me to do with it but I will address the few bugs and add some new items.
Pretty sure the mod is dead lol, uploader probably lost the motivation and I don't blame him. The mods I released I can't be arsed supporting anymore so I just let anyone do whatever they want with them.
Anyone who sees this comment, don't use this mod as it has texture errors and causes red missing texture error triangles to appear. Best to avoid this mod as it doesn't do much for your playthroughs.
Just overwrite this mod with the newer and more recently maintained Collision Meshes FNV: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59149
It overwrites a lot, but not all of this mod. In the optional files of Collision Meshes there is a patch for Precision Collision Clutter - it fixes the billiards triangle and mutfruit meshes. Load order like this:
Precision Collision - Clutter PrecisionCollisionClutterFix from the Collision Meshes page Collision Meshes FNV update Collision Meshes FNV 1.6.3 to 1.6.4
Not sure where you wanna fit other mesh mods with this, I have NVMIM and MAC-TEN before these.
So if using a mod like New Vegas Mesh Improvement Mod, Better Books, Alcohol Bottles Overhaul, Poco Bueno, or Physically Based Chems -- or really any mod that has its own mesh files (.nif) - should we let this mod overwrite those? Or will custom mesh mods have good collision anyway and can overwrite this mod?
I can't seem to install this mod successfully with NMM, it gets stuck at 81% of the installation process. Anyone else had this ?. Any help is much appreciated!.
The only bug I remember having was it breaking pool triangles so that they'd have a missing mesh error. That can be fixed manually by deleting the .nif file for the triangle before installing the mod.
Heads up to anyone still worried about bugs, in addition to deleting the pool triangle's mesh, you'll also need to delete the ant meat one, too. It doesn't show a missing mesh error, but instead will cause ant meat, bloatfly meat, and bloatfly sliders to disappear upon being dropped.
Extract the mod's files via WinRar, 7zip, or similar archiving program. In your copy, go to Data\Meshes\Clutter. You'll have to delete two files in different folders in there. From the Billiards folder, delete Triangle.nif. From the Food folder, delete AntMeat01.nif. Repack this fixed version of the mod into a new .zip/.jar/.7z archive via the same program you took the files out from. Install your edited version as normal.
