Could you at least add the ripper attacking sound effect when you swing?

Combine this with a suit of Power Armor and I'm a damn Space Marine. Now all we need are some bolters ^_^

Just search for "wh40k" in the description if you want some Tau stuff.

Thanks. Unfortunately no, it doesn't animate. In all honesty, it would have taken me forever to animate 30-something odd parts and fit them to the new mesh. I will use the excuse that real chainsaw blades don't move until you rev it up!

Understandable but still pretty kool and simple idea.

It's a great idea and looks good, although I must say that the fact the teeth don't move as compared to the normal ripper does detract from it.
Saying that, I am endorsing this cos it's a neat idea and I can't decide between crappy knife chainsaw which animates (ripper) and much better, longer chainsaw which doesn't animate, so despite this it is still good enough to use.

How difficult would it be? not just a transfer and copy paste of the normal ripper animatipn I guess. If anyone could message me saying what tools are needed and where to look to educate myself to animate it, I'd make an attempt.

You would have to animate and reposition every single blade, which is around 30 of them.

I don't really have any idea how to, but I have some time and willingness to learn, so wil look into giving it a try. would you mind saying what sort of tools I would need?
I have downloaded blender along with the python and other p file, but not sure how to implement it all and got gimp too, all with very little idea how to use them. and nifskope, ditto.
well if I get anywhere I will let you know - but if you have any pointers where to learn how to animate it or what tools, that would be helpful

Looks like a prototype for a Warhammer 40K chainsword.

Ripper blade is located left when walking into the entrance near Ralph's Store.

It has no animation, but has the ripper sound.

Upon hitting someone a puff of smoke appears.

    It ignores DT/DR.
