But now i do have a question... How do i add "Maybe" to the radio? ^^ It is a pity that the iconic Fallout song is not even there (and there are only a handful of songs on top of that, so i am sick of listening to them over and over again). Maybe i simply need "Maybe".

    EDIT: managed it :)

Late answer, but just in case... Use this mod: Extended New Vegas Radio Generator
I made a tutorial at the time, now found on page 4.

Is there a way I could replace the sounds in this mod from lets say the "High Quality Music" mod from Fallout 2?

exists now with my mod: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/87107

since it replaces both the radio-style songs and the songs called for by maps / audio spaces, this mod will play my HQ tracks

This is a great mod for the classic fallout tunes but I think a missed opportunity was in Mt. Zion from the Honest Hearts DLC. When entering the tribal villages it doesn't play Fallout 2's "Beyond the Canyon" which I think would've been great if played only in the tribal villages but not in the whole game world of Mt. Zion as the tune would get old quickly.

Your mod somehow stopped any ambient music from playing in various places like freeside and crimson caravan. Had to disable it.

New Vegas is my favourite game, but it's definitely weaker than Fallout 1, 2 and 3 when it comes to the ambient soundtrack.

Fallout 3 is not that impressive either...on 1st and 2nd we agree...
    2. Fallout 3's ambient music belonged in Oblivion, most of it did not sound gritty or fitting. If it played in towns that were undergoing heavy development with a growing population, it wud fit the rebuilding of civilization atmosfere. Instead most of it sounds too upbeat or carefree.

The original music by Mark Morgan defined the whole series' mood. Its impact is much more than one could think at first. Inon Zur made decent work, but there is no Fallout vibe in his work. So, adding Mark Morgan's original work on top can't hurt the immersion at all. Actually, the original Fallout's music is on par for me with Icewind Dale's (Jeremy Soule), Planescape Torment (Mark Morgan again) or Dragon Age's (Inon Zur). Above everything else. Playing with these is just different. And they fit very well in the game. Endorsed.

How does it play anything if there were no actual tracks added, just an .esp?

Like it says... The music from FO1 and 2 are still present in FO3 and NV, just not overly used.
If you unpack the Fallout-sounds.bsa, you can see all tracks etc. This .esp just uses what's allready present.
