Argh, i have a bug where my sleep deprevation is stuck at 300+ constantly, and even if i sleep it will never lower, it will only keep rising, the only thing that can lower it back to 300 is using chems etc... I tried this mod and it doesnt work either, ive tried console commands but its still stuck at 300 -..-
It actually falls under like, 10 separate genres. But the real benefit/point to this mod is decoupling the bump in combat difficulty from the added survival mechanics of hardcore mode, which many find too tedious compared to the default ones. This should have always been how the difficulty system works honestly. There should have been a "survival mode" separate from "hardcore difficulty" from the outset. Regardless, more customization options is always better.
This is perfect. I love hardcore mode but I hate the survival mechanics because it constantly takes me out of the game by hugging my pip-boy, and was definitely an after thought. I'm doing a ghoul run as an RP reason to not need to eat. You're amazing.
Awesome.I love the different aspect of hardcore mode, EXCEPT for those "survival rates". In my mind, they don't add entertainment, just something you gotta keep your eye on. Especially for the DLC's, they were DEFINITELY not built with those rates in mind.
The best part is how little it makes sense. Running around in the desert for 15 hours straight? Naw, you ain't thirsty yet. Haven't slept in 4 days? You might be a LITTLE tired...
Thanks for this mod I really enjoyed the idea of having companions die for good and ammo having weight and stimpaks healing over time but I never liked the fact I needed to eat sleep and drink it was just something that was annoying to keep track of
Exactly, its more of a chore if anything. Especially since you can just fast travel back to Lone Wolf Radio, kill_eat some geckos, drink the water near Goodsprings source, and use the mattress to sleep on. At least its easier in Jsaywer's mod, since it gives you more leg space to grow on hunger, thirst, and sleep
The whole point of Hardcore is to require to have to eat, sleep, and drink. Simply wanting weight for ammo is not a just cause to have another esp polluting my load order. If you can't accept all elements of hardcore, don't play hardcore. Thats my honest opinion.
it affects more than just weight for ammunition. It makes doctors bags heal a partial amount, stimpacks heal at a timed rate, beds won't heal you to 100 percent, radaway heals radiation poisoning over time, and companions can die
Excellent. Exactly what I was looking for. I'm constantly looking for ways to get the game to conform more closely to Fallout and Fallout 2. Eliminating the F/D/S needs while keeping companion mortality, the need for doctor bags for crippled limbs, and ammo weight is a big step in that direction.
Extremely helpful for those of us using overhauls that force hardcore mode on no matter what. Thank you for giving me a way to turn it off, I applaud you sir.
