You won't be banned for liking Postal or the like, just be aware that ripping from other games unless the game company expressly allows it (as CD Project RED does for example) will get you banned even off Lover's Lab, let alone Nexus. If it's original sound or the like it's fine, but if it's ripped from another game (like ripping the Fallout 4 female protagonist's actress's lines from Mass Effect 2's Jack) is illegal, so I suggest you in that case take the mod down ASAP.
Probably not many Dark Souls fans there so simply no one alterted the moderators about it. Feel free to do so. No site backed up on pennies and donations have the wish to face the wrath of a gaming company's lawyers if something like that was found out, so it's a no-brainer.
Has anyone ever pressed charges against some modder who ripped off assets from game to put them to another as free mod? I don't think so. People really don't give a f*#@ about small stuff like this.
Not against modders, companies that notice this just sends a very simple cease and desist order to the hosting site, which takes the mod down pretty much 100 % of the time since yeah, no one wants an actual lawsuit to happen over something as small.
Running with Scissors however may just not care very likely, they did create the Postal games after all and may be one of those publishers (like CD Project RED) that just view stuff like this as free advertisement, as honestly everyone should unless signficant portions of the game itself was being ripped.
