I am currently replaying TTW, and with it, I want to enhance this mod and fix a few bugs. Here is a list of what I've planned :
- Make Female variants for the playable armors ( not the NPC-Specific outfits that you wouldn't be able to get in normal gameplay ) -Groovy OutfitDONE -Bounty Hunter Duster DONE -Constantine Outfits -Desmond's Suit -Dirty Harry Suit -Handyman Jumpsuit -Commando ArmorDONE -Lesko's Labcoat DONE -Modified Utility JumpsuitDONE -Punisher Armor -Road Rascal ArmorDONE -Shellshocked Armor DONE -Smuggler Outfit -Leather Rebel - Fix Captain Sidearm once and for all. It's starting to piss me off.DONE - Ledoux unique outfit. Casey Jones or Team Jersey maybe ? - Rework outdated models -Familly Outfits -BriannaDONE -Alan -Justin -Holly -Karl -Make Lether Rebel Outfit DONE -Give Pipboy compatible arms to the armors that lacked one -Update Gorecaps on all armors -In Progress -Remake following weapons : -Black Bart's Bane
There a NVSE folder in the archive containing a handful of .txt files.
They are named « Gr_Fafnir_xxxxxxxxx ». Depending on their name, they either change the model of the weapon ( Gr_Fafnir_Automn10mm.txt changes the model of Col. Autumn’s 10mm Pistol for exemple. While something like GR_Fafnir_Harkness.txt gives Harkness his blade runner coat ).
So if you don’t want a weapon modified, you can just remove the .txt file matching the weapon. And if you don’t want an NPC wearing one of the new armor I gave them, you can also delete the .txt file matching the NPC name.
The ESP modifies the armors and adds the new items, and also modifies some weapons I still haven’t found out a way to modify with script runner, for animations reason.
yeah yeah I know they are for Fallout 3, but it would be very cool if we could at least have these in some container near Goodsprings back at the Mojave, as someone who doesn't like TTW at all yet really likes these models, that would be pretty nice. Still I'm confident the author will never do this.
The F3 version was predecessor to this mod, with less weapons, armors. But The actual number of pure-F3 gamers were miniscule way back when. Nowadays people only play F3 thanks to TTW. So the F3 version is just bring more grief than users. I did install the F3 version and play in pure F3 once. it's okay, speaking of this weapon armor mod for F3. It's horrifying, speaking of a pure-F3 experience. Damn thing is practically archaic. These days people talking about playing in F3 just to score street cred. They dont actually play it. Or if they do, more like, they browse through their electronic store and find that they bought it once upon a time, and now can drag it out to play on Xbox, nice and easy. no mod, no replacer, pure F3 experience... which is shyet~
woah that's pretty f*#@ing sad, considering many of the early FNV mods were ports from 3 lol. It's funny what time does to a community, back when Fallout 3 came out everyone considered it a great game, now people just laugh their asses off to it... And I dunno, it's still a fun game.
If I'm honest, if 3 had more and better mods than Fallout NV that weren't already in the later anyway, I would be playing 3 lol. Honestly some stuff aside both are pretty much the same s#*!, NV is just a tad better.
or even maybe separate all the bonus stuff into optional files to merge, that way people can pick and choose, like I just want re-textures with the bonus institute outfits
Man, I love this mod. Wish I could endorse it 100 times. My main gripe with FO3 after playing FNV for so long was the lack of unique looking gear and this mod gives me exactly what I always wanted.
I do have a couple questions though...
1) I've been playing v12 since May 2024 and I see it's been updated a handful of times since... would updating to the latest version mid-save cause any potential issues? Also I am running TTW 3.3.2 and am not planning to update to 3.3.3 unless I absolutely have to. Would v14.2 work for me or should I update to 13, 14, or 14.1 instead?
2) In the version I'm playing, the Microwave Emitter has "titled" iron sights, has this been fixed any of the the newer versions?
3) If I update to a newer version, do i still need the "Captain's Sidearm hotfix"? I've been using the original fix, NOT the one by Conzo, if that matters.
Thanks again for making this awesome mod! It's seriously one of my favorites and can't recommend it enough for a TTW playthrough!
