For the record: the 1849 had a 5 round cylinder. Also, being a cap and ball weapon, it was loaded by ramming lead balls down the front of the cylinder instead of loading full cartridges in the back like a modern revolver. This could take a long time considering how each cylinder had to be filled with powder, wad and bullet rammed into each individually then a cap placed on each. To avoid the long reload time in the middle of a gun fight, you would carry extra pre-loaded cylinders and would swap them out to reload. So the original chosen animation, while not perfect, is surprisingly accurate.

if you would have someone working up textures, made a drum turret and animation that I can to fix it more, but This animation is better than the origi.
It changes the Reload animation from the Alien Blaster to the 44 Revolver as well as changing a couple of other things (base damage, icons, value, clip size and skill req)
Checking it for myself, the list of "fixes" appears to consist of:
1. Changing the Pip-Boy icon from the Hunting Revolver to the .357 Magnum. 2. Changing the animations from those of the Alien Blaster to a more fitting revolver reload animation, though the gun itself still isn't animated in such a way where the cylinder swings open / looks like it's actually ejecting its spent casings. 3. Upping the value from 250 to 2500, upping the base damage from 32 to 46. 4. Adding a skill requirement of 50 in Guns, which didn't exist before.
Overall, it's a solid enough improvement, but between having to rename the pre-existing .esp and the description being completely vague (not to mention the fact that the animation is still very lacking), there could've been a bit more put into this.
Hm. Yeah, I always found the reload animation on this gun to be very unfitting, and several of these fixes are a good idea... Honestly that gun's implementation is not Millenia's best work. This mod, however, falls short in that the description and tags are lacking, and some of the changes are a bit overreaching - in my opinion.
I feel this gun was already very solid with high DAM and DPS as a .357 weapon. The price change is good, but probably overselling it by 1,000 caps.

Oh, and thank you for investigating!
