Thank you so much for your comments and support on the mod and the music selection. It took me a while to pin down exactly what songs I thought would add some variety to the already great selection that Obsidian picked for NV.
That being said, I may have a few other songs that I'd like to add, so I wanted to ask you all if that's something you would all be interested in or if the mod should stay as is. Work's been keeping me busy, but if there's enough support, just comment on this thread 'Yes', and I'll see if can expand the song list (and update the mod description, ofc). If not, I'll leave it here as it is for you all to enjoy.
This has a weird habbit of playing the same songs after very short period of time! The song compilation is great don't get me wrong (i especially like Destination Moon and Little Girl), but sometimes it feels like it is stuck in a loop of replaying the same 5-6 songs over and over again...also the sound levels of different songs are off, some songs are more or less on par with one another as far as volume goes, but others are either way too loud or way too silent...
Great idea for a Mod as the in game music is so repetitive, however, I'm actually experiencing this with the mod too unfortunately. I've been through the sound files and I can confirm that my game loops the first 12 tracks, but very often only plays the first 4-5 and often repeats a song after its just finished. Ive heard that "Hey! little girl..." song a billion times and its driving me nuts. I've reinstalled both original and update files, tried fiddling in menu/pipboy as much as I can see but to no avail. Anyone else having similar problems?
I know it is a little late but I came to this mod looking for someone who may have the same problem. Funnily enough I decided to come check after hearing that Hey Little Girl song about 3000 times in a row. I don't know what is causing it but I wish there was some way I could skip a track. I am having the same exact problem as you.
I am having the same issue, the only conflicts I found on FNVedit was in worldspace with a weather mod. I am unsure if that is the issue but I'll just use the skip button from Stewei's ini.
Im having a similar bug where Mojave Music Radio will play a song almost completely, then in the last 15 ti 10 seconds of a song, itll skip to the next one, no idea who the culprit is, but its not an end of the world bug
One sure thing to make sure none of the song repeats and plays exactly in order is to use an online editing tool, that lets you join all the separate tracks in one huge like two hour track or something (depending on how many songs there are and how long each are off course!) and in most of these online song joining tools there is always an option to make it so, that al lthe joined songs are spaced out and the next song doesn't immediately and awkwardly kick off before previous one got even chance to finish, so the entire timing seems off...there is an option to include slight delay, so all the joined tracks feel natural and transition is seemless all at the same time! That's what i personally did with all of my radios (i only use Platinum Radio, Extended Mysterious Broadcast mod that extends the tracklists up to a 100 songs on top of those that are already there in vanilla station, that is added by OWB and Connel Rad Radio if i feel more apocalyptic and want to change mood...), i joined all the tracks into one huge song for each station, so that i guaranteed to hear all the tracks without any repeat unless i switch the radio! (There is also an option i think added by the famous lStewie engine tweak mod, that even remembers the exact point the track was last played, so it resume from that point next time you either boot up your game again, reload the save or even switch between stations and/or off and back on!) The caveeat is that it requires lots and i mean really lots of patience as joining anything over 10-20 tracks can take LOOONG time...but if you got lots of free time and don't mind spending it on something like that - i recommend highly going that route! Trust me the end result is worth it! You won't hear the same song again, until the entire 2-hour track is fully played!...
First off, I do really love this mod, and I want to say thank you to the author. After my two big NV radio mods went away, I was looking for something new, and the track list on this is amazing. It's very lore-friendly, and I quickly found myself bopping along.
However, there are two issues that are pretty annoying:
-The volume of the songs aren't equalized. They're all unusually high as compared to the native radio, and at different levels to each other even. At a point it became easier to hit the hotkey to change stations than to mess with volume settings. I've used programs like Goldwave in the past, so I know this could be done with a few hours of work, but the mod author did state that this is the final version which is a bit disappointing.
-I noticed 2-3 songs play a lot, at intervals that are far too close together. For example, 'Little Girl' played, then 'Shangri-La', then 'Volare', then 'Little Girl' AND 'Shangri-La' again, then 'Charade', then 'Little Girl' a third time. I didn't hear 'Wheel of Fortune' until 4hrs in, and I haven't heard it since. It's a minor thing, but I have found it leading to me changing the station rather than having to manage it.
This is a good mod that needs some basic work to be great. It's worth the download if you're willing to deal with those two (regular) annoyances. I like this mod enough that I'm likely to dig around and see if there's a way I can fix this for myself; if so, I'll post here asking if it's OK to share.
download it via a mod manager like the nexus mod manager community edition and then activate it in the mod manager. it's literally a click and play solution.
Would be complex. First all the song files have to be turned into mono audio files (the game uses .ogg i believe). Then you'd have to go into the GECK to make that change. I know nothing about the GECK so haven't the slighest idea of how to do that. Someone recently (?) made a patch of the CONELRAD radio station mod, converting the files to mono and adding them so that you could play it on any of the in-game radios. Be really cool if someone did that for this one too...
Does anyone know the song with the lyrics "a new and exciting land", I can't find it for the life of me and the song is really good and I would love to hear it in my free time

Thanks and enjoy the holidays in the Mojave!
Is it a Vortex only problem that i can fix or do i have to use Nexus like i used to?
No clue what could be causing this, but makes me think it's a bug with one of the basic mods everyone tends to install?

It's "Once In A Lifetime" by Bobby Darin
