This is pretty good, but I would modify the following things...
I think you should give it the ability to use all MFC types by making the ammo "AmmoListMicrofusionCell" and also I think it might be more fitting for the gun to use energy cells since the ammo you put into it is just a big box and it's easier to imagine that it's a big battery since on the ECP and MFC weapons you're usually replacing a single unit.
I also felt that it looked better to change the K9000 Cyberdog Gun's projectile to the Alien Blaster projectile.
Cyberdog guns used bullets as there isn't any other gun in OWB apart from Christine's COS Sniper Rifle (unless you leave then come back with your own gear after completion or I've missed something only played through OWB twice). But I think letting them use lasers like this, is better than .375 & .44 bullets, never really liked using these weapons, hard to get a decent shot, AP cost is very high & .44 magnum rounds are too expensive for an automatic minigun style weapon, plus the Cyberdogs around you shoot lasers, so it matches that too.
Can get a massive overhaul of Energy Cells & MFCs from Muggy & the Toaster & there's plenty of drained cells & Fission Batteries scattered so the change in ammo isn't a problem in my eyes. Thumbs up
To the best of my understanding of the lore (from reading terminals in the X-8 facility's kennel), the K9000/FIDO is intended to use by the security(?) as a crowd control gun whenever the cyberdogs become too unruly. And judging by the military outposts and trucks and supply caches scattered all over Big MT, I guess the security were also military personnel and can only work with conventional weapons. Thus, the reason for such choice of ammo for such a high-tech-looking weapon
i agree with this theme, but does it possible for you to make something like this where it could have ingame mod that we can re-attach to it to change from standard ammo to mf ammo ? just asking if it possible, cos' I still like the standard .357 ammo shot for this big gun. thanks :)
That is beyond my ability, that sounds like something antistar, the creator of WMX, could figure out. I suggest asking him out. But that does sound cool, to add a mod and convert it to an energy weapon

it needs to have the other mfc ammo options enabled, otherwise it actually does significantly LESS damage than the 357 version.

also, it makes me wonder... did you just change the ammo type, or did you also remember to change the CLASS of weapon it is to energy instead of gun?
