Q. Can this be installed midsave? A. Installing this mod midsave can and probably will result in issues. For a best experience, a new save is recommended. For those that just want to try out the mod, a post Broken Steel save file made with RtC is provided in the optional files.
To quote Viva New Vegas on installing mods midsave: Unless specified otherwise, this is not advised since your save files are essentially a plugin that is loaded last, baked information can override and break any changes new mods introduce, causing bugs and crashes. Mods such as textures and mesh replacements are fine.
Q. Can I use mods with the post Broken Steel save file? A. I wouldn’t install content, quests or overhaul mods if you are using the post Broken Steel save file to test out the mod. This includes mods that RtC has patches.
Q. Is RtC compatible with… A. Due to the size of the mod, I recommended keeping your load order light unless you want to spend time xEdit making patches. RtC sticks its fingers into a lot of cells so conflicts should be expected with larger content or location mods.
I recommend loading RtC towards the bottom of your load order.
Q. When are you adding voice acting? A. There are no plans at the moment to add voice acting to the mod, either with AI or with voice actors. Since this mod has open permissions, other people are welcome to try to add voice acting to the mod. Note, that (WIP) Rebuild the Capitial - Voiced Addon - Alpha,is not compatible with the 3.0 update of RtC.
Q. I can’t read the dialogue fast enough before it moves to the next line. A. Because of the unvoiced dialogue in the mod, I recommend you use lStewieAl’s Tweaks and Engine Fixes and set bNoAutoContinueDialog to 1. It makes it easier to read the dialogue which might pass by too quickly otherwise.
Q. Where is the guide? A. There is currently no official guide included for the mod. Past guides in the download were very outdated. To unlock more content in RtC, just keep playing FO3. The more Fallout 3 quests you complete and locations you explore, the more content you will unlock in RtC. Critica77y has made a Google doc that includes helpful information about the mod's content, but certain parts may be outdated as of the 3.0 update.
Q. Is there evil playthrough content in the mod? A. Not really. Obviously you can’t even start the mod if you destroy the Citadel and if you destroy Megaton you will be soft locking yourself out of some of RtC’s content. There is also no content for if you poison Project Purity with the FEV. That being said, there are options in the mod to ally with the slavers, destroy the Ghouls in the Underworld, or scourge the Pitt (again).
Q. Is there content for the Mojave? A. Not much at the moment. You can sign a treaty with whichever faction you complete FNV’s main quest with (requires FPGE), along with some other smaller stuff. You can install a patch for Claim the Mojave that will allow you to send Brotherhood troops to the Mojave. Note, that RtC is incompatible with Claim the Capital (the TTW addon for Claim the Mojave), but not the base version of Claim the Mojave.
Q. The squad recruitment terminal is not working and/or I’m getting errors about arrays or strings (text is being weird). A. This was probably caused by exiting to the main menu and then loading a save. Exiting to main menu rather than just fully quitting to desktop causes issues not only in RtC but in other mods as well. I recommend simply not doing that or installing this mod.
I wanted to make a post just talking about how good this mod is. I have to say this mod has genuinely surprised me over and over again both with the actual mechanics of the mod extending beyond what I expected, and even with the quests which I find to be genuinely good. Some people might be turned off by the lack of voice acting but honestly once you find that option with IStewies tweaks that pauses dialogue unless you click, it barely even matters. You've done fantastic work with this mod and I wish people talked about it more. This alone has made me spend like three times as much time in the fallout 3 portion of ttw then I expected I was going to spend. I wanted to do a lot of stuff before starting the New Vegas portion but I'm already a thousand saves in and I have not even touched the Mojave. I'm at the point where I have to put my foot on the ground and say I'm only going to do a few more quests before starting the Mojave and then I'll just do the others once I done the four year time skip. Definitely should be counted amongst the greats of fallout 3 mods!
weird question, How does the chest board work? I just had it added, and I interacted with it ,I wasn't expecting it to actually do anything. But it says I need an opponent before I can play and I'm actually very curious. Even though I've never played chess before in my life lol.
Also this mod is just very good I think it's got some good writing and some very cool mechanics!
Edit: I figured it out! I didn't notice the dialogue option in the companions dialogue system! Very cool for a second though I thought it was going to be a mini game like the New Vegas mini games lol
is there a way to make the armors utilize the t6m female body or any way to replaces the meshes in this mod with the meshs from a female power armor mod
Has anyone had any issues using this mod with NVWO Weapons Smith? Whenever I try to load these mods together the game crashes before even the main menu loads in. I would have made a bug report, but I didn't want to waste the mod author's time with incompatible mod issues. I do want to clarify that 2.52 works with it; so, I assume it is some incompatibility involving the showoff NVSE plugin.
If I remember correctly, there's an option for demilitarizing Lincoln Memorial right? How'd I activate or prompt it? I've got 33 Civs and 31 Mil investment already but it hasn't still popped in. Also Montgomery County Reservoir - I remember that we can also invest for that but same my problem, I still can't
I accidentally missed that this was incompatible with Raiders of the Capital. Just checking on how much is it incompatible? If it's just extra enemies during operations I can handle that or if theres any sort of clipping issues i'm fine with. But if it's extensive crashing or making the mod unplayable i'll abandon the save.
alright, tinkered a bit with the TOTNW patch for RTC from neonito and was able to get something that...at least lets my game start. posting it here to if anyone with actual experience in xedit stuff wants to take a look and correct some s#*! that i might've done (or if you want to test it, idk) https://www.mediafire.com/file/tv3l8qt2odwzs80/Rebuild_The_Capital_-_TOTNW_Patch.rar/file
just get it and replace the original esp of the patch from neonnito. don't expect anything good from it as i'm not a modder, i just moved s#*! around with xedit lmao. but at least i was able to enter the order of the shield building in the V.R.A without my game dying, so it might be something
edit: new link, could do something a bit better, now the armors at least look how they did with the patch
no fucking clue lmao, i just started moving things around and also removing some things the mod added (like the new Sentinel armors, still kinda of wanted that base RTC had a bigger option for the selection of the unique power armor that's made for you)
honestly? i would recommend to wait for a proper patch to be released or if neonnito updates his own if you want to use titans with RTC. again i'm no modder so there's a good chance i fucked up something here, only posted this for those who are desperate as me or if anyone with any script knowledge could make a patch from this or something on those lines
Is there a way to make Vree sisters work together?? I know is posible, but i can't remember how I made it posible (I started a new game because of the new update)
They have a third sister that is an officer in the admin building she will tell you how to make them collaborate you get both individual rewards and a third reward from them

downloaded verlyastkisses collection and seen that he deleted rtc mainly because of totnw
so either i delete totnw or try this patch
you have to talk to Scribe Khan first
