The Mojave has a new kind of monstrosity roaming it's most harsh and unfriendly environments.
They have been seen living in small groups in irradiated areas, roaming amongst feral ghouls and tagging along with supermutants and centaurs.
Eyewitnesses who have survived encounters tell of horribly mutated creatures with multiple glowing eyes and a poisonous bite.
Mod Features
This mod implements the modders resource Fallout 76 Snallygaster by Prodlimen.
The New Vegas breed of Snallygaster have evolved into a smaller sub-species that differs somewhat from their Appalacian counterpart.
They lack the acid-spitting ability, though their bite is still venomous.
Being smaller also makes them much quicker and more agile than their larger cousins, plus they have much better vision.
Thanks to their many eyes now glowing, they are an effective predator even at night.
Snallygasters can mainly be found in irradiated areas of the Mojave. These include Searchlight, Black Mountain, Toxic Waste Dump and anywhere you might find mutants, centaurs or feral ghouls.
Adult Snallygasters have glowing red eyes, while the younger "Nascent" Snallygasters have orange glowing eyes, and are smaller with less potent venom.
Also around Black Mountain you'll find "Snally", a player-friendly Snallygaster that will follow and fight along side you.
You'll recognise Snally by the green eyes, which will turn red during combat.
Future Plans
This will probably need a bugfix and maybe some balancing, as well as placing more Snallygasters.
Snally's quest script also contains some code to add Snallygasters to levelled lists, though this is deactivated until a later version.
This can easily be activated for compatibility using FNVEdit if required.
I'd also like to introduce a glowing variant, but lack the necessary texturing skills.
This could possibly be done with a glowing molerat texture, but nobody seems to have made one that I could find.
Credits
As stated above, all credit goes to Prodlimen for his Fallout 76 Snallygaster modders resource, as well as the Fallout 3 Concept Art Fort UFO I also used.
Check out his work, he's got some great resources including robots and more creatures.
