A heads up for anyone looking to have a custom paint job on their Garand, the download only contains the USA flag skin. Bayside, Forest and Swamp aren't in the file, so no matter what skin you choose it'll be the USA flag.
@nickheggo, well, that explains why I had the problem with getting the right Garand for so long. I figure it conflicted with Weapon Mesh Improvements, Weapon Mods Expanded etc. and figured that the gun will just be the pathetic crap that is in the game. :/ Thankfully, list order sorted it out.
This Machine is my favorite weapon in FNV and this mod makes it look beautiful. But it lowers the damage of the rifles, does anyone else have this problem?
The weapon looks great. Much better that any other battle rifle/this machine replacers. The only serious problem is that there isn't any kNVSE animation set which works correctly with this mod. Every set I tried has a lot of terrible clipping issues.
only one thing i am not quite getting is the custom paint job. I have tried reinstalling a few times to try the other textures but each time the paint job is the american flag version not sure if i am just doing something incorrectly or what
Does anyone know if there's a patch for this mod and Hit's animations? And if not, does anyone have some pointers on how I could attempt to make one myself?
from my poking around the script says it's supposed to show up with gunrunners tier 2 wares (if i'm reading this correctly) so they should be appearing at level 1 (as gunrunners will always stock tier 1 and tier 2 wares and will only stock tier 5 wares at level 16 or above)
why they don't i have no clue the only fix is to talk to other mod authors and figure out how they did it i think i don't have anywhere near the amount of knowledge to even speculate what went wrong and how to fix it
Blue tape... there's so many wrong about this, why everyone add it? It doesn't belong to Fallout in any way (because pvc tapes don't exist in Fallout universe at all). And it is also the absent tension with which it is applied - no one ever will use tape like that (+ that part which is taped on screens shall NOT be taped in any circumstances, because there's moving mechanism, and if it will be interfered - you're screwed, it may literally backfire at you)
Bru I ask this to myself to this day. Airsoft and COD cannot suplement actual military experience OR actual gun ownership and leads to this. This is done by a person im 100% sure he never actualy touched an M1 ever!
-grey Duct Tape exists in Fallout Lore, so why shouldn't blue one exist? Doesn't matter if it's blue, grey or piss yellow in my opinion.
-"The part that's taped on screens shall not be taped because there's moving mechanisms"... I have yet to see one moving part inside the stock of an M1 Garand. If you're talking about the unique variant "Blue Betty" then just don't use it mkay? I mean you would never go to the exact same location where it's found during normal gameplay without this mod.
Blue tape has become an in-joke in the F4 community when it comes to modding weapons. I'm pretty sure it started with the Crude Blowback rifle, and just slowly snowballed from there. Blue Betty is made to be a stupidly exaggerated part of that joke. You can most definitely use the regular version without tape on it, and you can most definitely avoid using Blue Betty, since it isn't a replacement for an existing gun like This Machine, but an entirely new weapon made SPECIFICALLY to play into the blue tape joke.
@Iraqveteran99 yeah that op rod runs almost the whole length of the barrel & for some reason it was exposed. I guess it helped for disassembly & to keep things simple.. But as others have mentioned the blue tape thing has been a meme for awhile. I know it was a signature of the guy who did the original F4 Garand mod, all his mods have blue tape. Can't remember who that was.. might be this guy for all I know he did some F4 mods too.
it's both an in joke and AsXas' signature on their mods (name one AsXas mod that doesn't have blue duct tape on it) also technically OP is right nickheggo (though it doesn't bother me because meme) when it has all that tape on the handguard (note the stock is only ever referring to the rear of the gun it's also called the gunstock or buttstock the handguard is where your other hand (iirc it's your off hand) goes to steady the rifle OP) the op rod (or to give it it's full name the operating rod) will be locked in place making the entire gun unusable (as it serves a number of critical functions for one it allows the gun to actually chamber a cartridge)

The textures are in the file, you just need to replace the usa texture manually, or by choosing them in the fomod installer.
Try with loading this mods .esp last in your load order.

And what level is your character on?
2. Lv.20
I've made this mod 2 years ago and dont remember how the script works.
Sorry

But if anyone wants it i can upload the optional black tape texture.
blue tape is bad, it'll take the kids and leave you.
black tape however
