This mod sucks. Food healing is based because even Sawyer knew that sticking 200+ year old *ZOINKS* science juice into your bloodstream probably isn't a good idea.
So, you can have your big pharma stimpaks I'll always prefer me some iguana on a stick because atleast I know what I'm putting into my body.
How would we disable food healing completely? Setting both baseHealing and healingMultiplier to zero still left my food items with (tiny) healing effects.
Do this mode mod works correctly with perk Old World Gourmet? (https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Old_World_Gourmet) I play with this mod and some others mods and this perk doesn't change anything in the game :(
Can this be used to lower health restore per second without effecting the original duration of the food items healing effect? Everything I try just lowers the total duration of the healing which isn't desirable to me.
Nuka cola is not affected? Those items are ridiculously powerful compared to everything else now
EDIT: Did not mean to come off ungrateful. I was just hoping that nuka (and I think sunset sasparilla too? I didn't have it in my inventory) wouldn't be able to rival stimpacks. Is there a way for them to be added to the list the scriptrunner goes through?
Nuka Cola isn’t marked as a good item in the vanilla game, so it isn’t affected. It is in JSawyer Ultimate, though, which this is mainly meant to be used with.
Doesn't update the food description, something like an omelet says 2 minutes but it's really only 20 seconds when viewed from the effects tab after installing this mod.
I have no issues on my end with the esp-less option. The omelete says it's 5 HP for 31 seconds, and without the mod, it's 1 minute. The effect tab also shows this correctly both times.
I think what would complete the experience is an optional setting to have a hunger and thirst threshold for when food and drink items can be consumed (e.g. you can't eat or drink at less than 25/1000) to avoid spamming healing items/drinks in combat. Would go well with a harder roleplay given that this game is somewhat easy even with JSawyer + your tweaks, apart from a few enemies which just tend to one-shot the player, all things considered. Given that your inventory sorting mod correctly divides aid section into the food/H2O, I thought I'd throw this idea to you.
In my opinion this mod -=> (https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/77843) has the answer but it makes TOO MANY unnecessary changes to be usable apart from having some ugly bugs, which is a real shame because the idea is good.
