For alot of the weapons in the Weapon Animation Overhaul have issues with bouncing Ironsight animations while moving and shooting. And they seem to not care about trying to patch/make it compatible with locomotion mods for some reason, if it's not trouble a patch for the overhaul for this locomotion would be amazing because to me it feels like the absolute BEST locomotion on the platform.
I think I could, but the time spent on it won't pay off, sorry. simply put, it's better to ask the mod authors to make their mod compatible with other locos cause we already have some out-of-the-box standards by which we make animations for compatibility
for some weapons, when I aim down sights while walking the iron sights bounce around then I shoot, and it happens when I use the 44 magnum and that gun. I got ISContolor and weapon animations
Apparently guys just decided not to bother themselves with extra work (literally 2 clicks). Well, I'll do it for them. Install this and let the files overwrite ETJ's and Hit's mods. In the future, contact the animation authors directly, because the issue is in their files.
With most modded weapons, when I move sideways while aiming down iron sights, the sights get misaligned but don't return to their original position when you stop moving. This makes it impossible to aim with iron sights. This happens with every locomotion mod I use. Any suggestions to fix this?
I'm having the same issue but with a different set of guns (guessing this is fixed for the 44 in Hit's season pack but still is a problem elsewhere). I was wondering if a quick rundown could be provided on how to add ##ISControl ? I'm still kind of nooby with nifskope and I'd like to fix up these issues. I noticed that ##ISControl is under header/Strings for the weapons that function properly and it isn't for the ones that don't. I'm assuming this is where to start with adding it but I'm not sure where to go from there.
@visualcore, can you confirm if this mod automates this process? https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/75465?tab=description Or is this the same as IScontroller without a plugin.
Nah, I'm just kidding! This is the best locomotion mod as far as I'm concerned. I would suggest anyone who is having issues (Ironsights/individual weapons acting wonky) to go through their knvse animation folder (Fallout New Vegas\Data\Meshes\AnimGroupOverride) and make sure there are no overlapping animation mods touching the same weapons. Use animation mods without locomotion, and check each folder for stray locomotion files that might be messing things up. Don't be afraid to do a little troubleshooting! Your save should be fine.
As much as I love hitman, his locomotion gives me stutter step issues when moving left and right with 1 handed weapons but this mod works for me. Also, if anyone downloads any hitman anims for modded weapons it might be worth checking to see if the mod also came with its own locomotion folder as not removing the locomotion folder may come with stutter stepping. Just thought it was worth mentioning since it might save someone some trouble.
Edit: Just found out that now when I aim down the sights of the modded guns and move left or right while shooting it makes my gun bounce up which breaks it again lol.
Hitman has done great work for modding but I've found his mods too buggy to use. The side stepping and jitter forward on his locomotion made me uninstall it. I also have firing sync issues his weapon animations.
rockbiter68's Clean Animations works far better and personally prefer the less over the top animations. I'm going to try this locomotion as well.
Sometimes, a slight stumble forward occurs just before trying to open the pipboy when moving. This is a bit jarring during normal gameplay, but if you use the faster pip boy animation mod x2 or x3 it will do really well at hiding the slight occasional stumbling motion so you can barely notice. Try it out if you want the locomotion but the stumbling has been bothering you.

you need to have patched iscontrol models. here's the tutorial https://youtu.be/6P4jeeUFvEo
Just install ISControl Enableror just install this mod over the Iron Sights Recoil Animations

Thanks Visualcore.

Pick one or the other. I use this with the No IS Anims patch.
