This mod is awesome! It makes the shooting feel more visceral. That being said, I'm not a fan of the over-the-top animations where they fall and roll around (except the one where they fall back and start crawling away from you, that one's badass.) It gets tiring shooting them in the chest and seeing them do that same animation where they fall on their stomach constantly. Is there a chance you could make an optional file that changes those animations so they're not flipping around as much? Except the one where they crawl away from you.
Happily. I am getting this criticism a lot and I intend to make a brand new batch of animations to replace the more over-the-top ones. Honestly it has been bothering me a little too.
I really wanted to see how this played with immersive hit reactions. and I see a couple people did ask so I played with the two for a few hours and heres what I found:
On a technical level both work flawlessly together, zero conflicts between the two. Buuuut that is also the problem, this mod changed some of the animations to have the person being shot fall to the ground in some way, and with immersive hit reactions it was causing npc's to constantly be flipping through the air every gunfight. While it was funny at first it got old fast. And thats with vanilla settings for IHR with no stunlock and no repeat animations. with stunlock on and repeat animations and an automatic weapon you could probably get npc's to flip around indefinitely XD
So in short id say with the animations right now either use this + his staggering mod or immersive hit reactions not both
basically, immersive hit reactions plays a stagger animation on every single shot, player and npc included, but on default settings doesnt repeat animations so you or enemies dont get stuck in an infinite loop if automatic weapons are involved. Because your (very impressive) mod adds multiple animations including falling and hopping back up it was just causing everyone to flop around like fish XD
This mod is exactly what I was looking for. The Ragdolls mod is nice and all but these animations are the best mix of over-the-top and believable that it enhances the experience
For NPC's? I plan to implement an optional configuration for Awesome Crippling Effects 2 which will force actors to commit a stagger animation more often, like you're proposing.
definitely could use a bit more polishing but i also understand the absolute difficulties of making something like this work in creation engine. props to you for even pulling it off though.

What does Immersive Hit Reactions do, exactly? Just increases the frequency at which enemies stagger?
