this is AMAZING and completely changes my experience & helped me turn this into the tarkov style game i wanted. (Another kick in the head - alternative death mod goes with it great.)
Thank you so much. I consider this essential for any playthrough. You did an incredible job and out of 200+ mods I have installed this is in my top 5 and will always use this one going forward. incredible work & thank you
I would absolutly love if the hideout started more bare, and used the upgrade mechanics from the lucky 38 suit or novac home to slowly improve it (kinda like in tarkov) to get that fdeeling of progression. Other than that (and the other comments talking about the lighthing and how the free loot is a bit op) i love the mod, and im using it now for my run. Cheers!
Very fun mod, especially the initial encounter at the sarsaparilla factory. That being said, I've got some feedback:
• Was the NPC at the factory supposed to be non-hostile? I think it'd make sense for him to be aggressive, and also for his gear to be decently damaged (both because of what happened, and because it's a lot of free loot for the player when at full condition).
• The dead guy being in power armour strikes me as a little weird. Why not something a bit more mid-level, to better represent him?
• The lighting in the hideout itself is a bit much, it could definitely be toned down to improve the aesthetics & atmosphere of the home. You could even have it be controlled by a switch on the power generator.
• The amount of free loot in the hideout is pretty nutty, and definitely needs to be toned down. Consumables and clutter are nice, but giving the player free expensive DLC weapons feels pretty cheaty.
This mod is already really good, but it could be truly amazing with a bit more tweaking.
I use a mod that balances the condition and price of the items, so the dlc items for me are a loot of NCR soldiers in terms of price, the mod is wonderful, there are only two things I would like to have changed/included :
1- The bunker is strangely lit, it ends up not having that dark vibe.
2- There is a specific type of mirror that when you interact with it you have the possibility to modify the character's face, I don't know if there's something like that in the bunker because unfortunately I didn't find it (it's in the Mod Mobile Truck Base bathroom if not know what it is about).
1) The key was held by a heavily armed friendly NPC named Chad at the Factory. Is he supposed to be alive? And friendly?
2) I don't know if its my mods, but almost all of the containers had stuff, usually from the DLC they were taken from. One of the toolboxes had an Electric Box Fuse quest item from Dead Money for christ's sake, and there were at least 3 SMMGs, which just... breaks my economy.
It's a nice looking player home, but some of these things are just baffling. Doesn't quite live up to "Tons of clutter to make the bunker feel truly lived in without granting players any ridiculous items". It looks neat, and its otherwise just the kind of survivalist/lived-in look that I like, but there's too much other stuff, and I'm worried about the containers.
