THIS MOD IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH DELAYED MALCOLM BECAUSE IT DOES SOMETHING VERY SIMILAR.
Depending on how you view it, my mod either makes Delayed Malcolm redundant, or it is simply incompatible.
Delayed Malcolm makes you wait until you have at least 5 (or 7) caps until Malcolm will start to appear, but my mod gives Malcolm a 20% chance to spawn with every Star cap you pick up starting from your first cap.
this is definitely the better reality for Malcolm Holmes, normally i just blow his head off and take his Stars n stuff. now he has lore relevance, if this ever got an update, i'd like the chance lowered to 10%, so the odds of seeing him at level 12 are greater than they are now, which is less than 10%. lol
I love the idea for this mod, it reminds me of Chuck's alternate reality in the Dead Rising 2 expansion. I was wondering if this is compatible with Keep Collecting Those Sunset Sarsaparilla Stars? I can see they share a script but I can't tell if that'll be a problem.
Clean Canteens They have basically open permissions. There's a brown retex with no logo. Maybe you can pop it into gimp and throw a star cap layer over it to fit Malcom...
That folder makes the FOMOD package install correctly, that's why it's included. After you've installed the version you want, you don't necessarily need that folder. But it can't hurt to keep it.
I love this mod on Very Hard difficulty with Hardcore on
My experience so far:
- Picked up Sunset Star Bottle cap in The Devil's Gullet location. - Went back to Victor's Shack to sleep the dark night away. - Woke up to Malcolm Holmes "I got you now." - Sprinted for the door. - Started running and all I hear is *pow* *pow* *pow*. - Main menu screen.
Malcolm's just following me around while crouch-walking, completely non-hostile. Whenever I speak to him, he's just his usual cheery wasteland trader self.
Is this how he's supposed to be, and he'll just attack me when the time comes that I'm off-guard?
Because its really breaking my immersion tolerating him following me around wherever I go, waiting for him to do finally do something interesting.
Do you think we could have a version where he always is in "hunter mode", and is able to come back? Kinda like the mod where Joshua comes back to life and hunts you down throughout the game.
