Introduction
This is a merged and updated collection of various small mods or concepts, with a focus on compatibility and fitting seamlessly with the vanilla game. This is intended as a partner to Essential DLC Enhancements Merged.
Whilst the idea of a merged collection isn't new, this mod aims to only include uncontroversial and vanilla-friendly concepts, such that it will be suitable to use in any load order. No balance changes, no scope creep, and no questionable inclusions.
Also, no unnecessary Script Runner.
Description
Below is a list of other mods included in this collection, for which permissions were either open or have been received from the original authors. I highly recommend endorsing the originals to give the authors their due credit.
Included Mods
- Adjusted Gambler Hats (Mid version) by elr0y7
- And Stay Back! Improved by TrueVoidWalker (optional) - Complete remake: the script only becomes active when the perk is taken, and only runs when you swap shotgun ammo, rather than it running on every hit; the original perk entry point is manipulated, removing the need to edit the perk; the new script is not affected by the fringe case where you could throw a grenade, swap to a shotgun, and then the grenade explosion being counted as a shotgun hit.
- Better Bleed Me Dry by baddarkl - New and slightly altered version that doesn't include a new quest script.
- Better Caravan Game Limit for Merchants by Yukichigai/PushTheWinButton (optional) - Updated and completely remade version that was previously part of JSawyer Ultimate. The caravan game limit is reset now based on the default vendor restock, rather than the respawn timer, which is different and could result in the game limit being reset before the merchant's money pool was.
- Bryce Anders Companion Inventory by Yukichigai - Fixed so that it actually works, as the original mod didn't. Made it so that Bryce gives your items back when he leaves after Motor Runner is killed. Removed the change to Bryce's script, as it was not required.
- Burden to Bear Original by TrueVoidWalker (optional) - Made optional and corrected the speed multipliers and calculation for the perk, as the result would be slightly off from fully counteracting the armour speed penalty in the original.
- Burning Campfire Redone by sagittarius22 (optional) - Complete remake of the concept. Improvements: all scripting is done via events, meaning no objects are edited; support for Honest Hearts campfires added; no use of PlaceAtMe function calls at all; the fire will stay lit for one in-game hour, rather than being conditioned on real-time (in-game time makes more sense).
- Caravan Deck Variety by asorly - Changed Dale Barton's deck to the same as the one in JSawyer (which is more varied). Also made the three cut caravan players' decks more varied.
- Casino Exchange All by pintocat - Completely rebuilt from scratch. Only included three options to be as vanilla friendly as possible: exchange all caps, exchange all Legion, and exchange all NCR, which are all found in their respective exchange categories. Changed the dialogue text to better fit vanilla. Rescripted to use vanilla variables rather than requiring new quest scripts.
- Casino No Legion Aureus for Cashing Out by Yukichigai - Removed the unnecessary script changes.
- Clean Crafting Menu (from Miscellaneous Tweaks Collection by Qolore7) (optional) - Made the feature optional and added messages when the new recipes become available.
- Common Caravan Deck (Version 1) by Soukey
- Complex Vendors by Qolore7 - Only functions if you enable the option in lStewieAl's Tweaks
- Doc Mitchell Easier to Impress by Asterra
- Ed-E Normal Spawn Height (from Mastahbossu's Misc Mods) by mastahbossu
- Emotional Ed-E by Cdr248 - Included YUP fixes.
- Empty Sunset Sarsaparilla Bottles - No Float Replacer by Yukichigai
- Enslaving Arcade Fix by whyareall
- Faction Armor Redone YUPdated by darthbdaman and Zebumper - Additionally prevented Bryce Anders being given any faction armour that he shouldn't wear. Re-added tracking of fame to prevent fame being reset if you uninstalled the mod whilst wearing an outfit.
- Female Nuka Cola Drinking Sound Replacer by Asterra (optional)
- Female White Glove Society Mask Fix by Ruadhan2300 and Lucas9
- Francine Hangs McCaffery's Hat by Zebumper - Slightly modified to not move existing decorations.
- Goodsprings Wasteland Adventurer by Yukichigai (optional) - Modified inventory slightly based on the changes made previously as part of JSawyer Ultimate. Also made optional in case other mods that restore the NPC are being used.
- Gun Runners Kiosk Glass Fix by zedas
- Lower Sitting Ranger Hats by FinnenH4wke
- Harvestable Cave Fungus by PushTheWinButton
- Improved Rawhide Cowboy Hat Mesh by unknown
- Logic and Conistency Fixes by qwertyasdfgh - Fully updated based on YUP changes. See below for a full list of changes.
- Loyals Detonator Can Detonate Explosives by Yukichigai
- Mantis Gauntlet Crafting Schematics Restoration by Yukichigai - Updated version previously part of JSawyer Ultimate, which moves the recipe to a location in the wasteland.
- Map Marker Reputation Fix by AVeryUncreativeUsername
- Mass Ownership Tweaks by Qolore7 (optional) - Changed so that new ownerships are not savebaked (they were in the original). Added some logical checks for quest failure in order to prevent strange assignment of ownership (quests can be marked as completed when failed too, and the original mod doesn't account for that). Removed a few of the responsive ownership changes that were a bit extreme, like the whole of Novac becoming unowned if Cliff was killed (if anything, stealing is worse if you just kill the owner first). Fixed the ownership change when frying the NCR in That Lucky Old Sun, which was incorrectly conditioned on a quest stage, not the quest objective.
- More Caravan Players Restoration by Yukichigai - Updated version previously part of JSawyer Ultimate. The money used by the caravan players is stored in vendor containers like all other caravan players, rather than being stored in their inventories.
- Mother Lupa (from Mastahbossu's Misc Mods) by mastahbossu
- Negative Karma for Grave Digging by Jokerine (optional) - Made the feature optional.
- Offer to Permit Annexation Fix by AVeryUncreativeUsername - Fixed a very minor typo in the note itself.
- Real Unique Flame Weapons by MrShersh - Removed a change to Cleansing Flame that was not required.
- Restored Caravan Dialogue by miguick, PushTheWinbutton, and Asterra - The version included here was developed separately by miguick for JSawyer Ultimate, but should be functionally identical to Asterra's mod. It has also been integrated with the other caravan features included here.
- Return Vance's Gun by sandbox6
- Rigged Shotgun Restoration (Lore-Friendly version) by Lucas9
- Ringo Faction Fix by Befo
- RobCo Termlink Copyright Consistency Fix by ProfVerstrooid
- Securitron Siren Sound Restored by snakedog
- Simple Reputation and Disguises by PushTheWinButton - Included the restored Primm reputation (with updated scripts), restored Escaped Convicts, and balanced infamy values. This effectively means any Primm reputation restoration mod is also included.
- Spore Plants Drop Spore Plant Pods by Yukichigai - Included the old Unofficial Patch Plus version of this, which instead makes spore plants use the drop list from Honest Hearts rather than a new list.
- Stars Turned Face Up by zedas
- Strip Wall Billboards by sandbox6
- Swimming and Rebreather Restoration (optional) by RoyBatterian - Completely rebuilt using callback events instead of editing the item script. Omitted volume changes to underwater and swimming sounds.
- Thermic Lance Fire Effects by Yukichigai - Removed VATS attack name change and included YUP fixes.
- Tunneler Hide Recipes by Soukey - Only added the Tunneler Hide Belt recipe, and integrated with the Clean Recipe Menu option.
- The Moon Comes Over the Tower Restored by TheMattyFez - Included YUP fixes.
- Ultrajet Recipe Contreras by Yukichigai
- Useless Radios Now Play Fix by Zenball
- Vault 19 Powder Gangers Are Actually Powder Gangers by AVeryUncreativeUsername
- Veronica Loves Veras Outfit by Despoena
- Veronica You're Not In The Brotherhood Anymore by DiZco12
- Vicious Violetta (from Mastahbossu's Misc Mods) by mastahbossu
- Working Crimson Caravan Traders by Yukichigai
New Features (all by PushTheWinButton)
- Disguises are now optional. When you equip a faction outfit, you will be presented with an option that asks if you would like to disguise yourself. Selecting "No" will not enable the disguise, allowing you to wear faction armour without getting attacked by the faction's enemies. Selecting "Yes" will make disguises work as normal.
- You can now give donations to the Followers of the Apocalypse as a repeatable way of gaining good karma. Either speak to Julie Farkas, who has some fully-voiced lines, or use the donation box on the table near the main gate of the Old Mormon Fort. Two notes have been added to remind you of this feature. You will also gain karma for the one-off vanilla donation you can make to Doctor Usanagi, for consistency. In the vanilla game, the only repeatable way to earn positive karma was to kill Fiends, Powder Gangers, or Ghouls (removed by YUP), and the amount gained was very small, so redemption wasn't really possible. This new feature now fully rounds out the karma system.
- Disguise equip and unequip messages have been changed to less intrusive corner messages (from Simple Reputation and Disguises).
- Restored some Escaped Convicts in Primm that were cut in the final game (from Simple Reputation and Disguises).
- Restored reputation for Primm. All events related to the town will award logical reputation (from Simple Reputation and Disguises).
- Decreased the infamy for killing and stealing, to be more balanced compared to the reputation loss for quest actions. In the vanilla game, killing a faction member gave more infamy that the worst possible quest-related action, including frying the entire NCR encampment at Helios One (from Simple Reputation and Disguises).
- The radio in the Novac Motel Room will now play Radio New Vegas. In vanilla, it is tuned to the static Repconn launch channel.
- Black Blood Sausage: recipe now only visible if you have the Them's Good Eatin' perk.
- Thick Red Paste: recipe now only visible if you have the Them's Good Eatin' perk.
- Added the functionality of the now-removed Barton Thorn Acts Normally mod. Barton Thorn will now approach the player and ask for help, and will have his weapon drawn when he ambushes the player. This new implementation uses a trigger box instead of a quest script, and also checks if Barton has already talked to the player, to prevent him asking for help twice.
- The Mojave Wasteland Ed-E will not be able to craft items or receive any of the other perk-related benefits of the Lonesome Road Ed-E until after Lonesome Road is completed. This stops Ed-E from devaluing the crafting skills of Raul and Veronica, despite being the easiest to recruit companion in the game.
- Faction reputation assigned to map markers will now be updated if the faction that controls the location changes due to story events. Covers Goodpsrings, Helios One, Nelson, NCRCF, and Primm.
- Added the option to display a notification when near a skill book, to help in collecting them. The skill book will also glow for a short period after the notification.
Logic and Consistency Fixes Changes:
- Removed change to Fiery Purgative sound (now in YUP)
- Removed weightless unplayable ammo (now in YUP)
- Removed ownership changes for Doc Mitchell's stuff (covered more cleanly in the included version of Mass Ownership Tweaks)
- Removed duplicate changes included in Harvestable Cave Fungus
- Removed the requirement to have a Jar of Cloud Residue for the Sierra Madre Martini, Cloud Kiss, and Ghost Sight recipes to be visible (inconsistent with how all other recipes are handled).
- Removed the requirement to have Sacred Datura Root for Daturana, Datura Hide, amd Datura Antivenom to be visible (same as the above).
- Removed the requirement to have Blood Sausage for the Black Blood Sausage recipe to be visible, and changed the recipe category back to food.
- Removed the requirement to have Thin Red Paste for the Black Thick Red Paste recipe to be visible, and changed the recipe category back to food.
- Removed the requirement to have Salient Green for the Battle Brew recipe to be visible.
- Changed the category for Nightstalker Squeezin's back from Aid to Chems (it provides buffs like chems, and does not restore as much health as aid items do).
- Included the change that allows the new Silver Rush guard to speak the same lines as the normal thugs (from Misc Gameplay Merge).
- Removed changes to the Helios One map marker that were related to the Legion takeover. This is now covered by the new reactive map marker changes mentioned in the New Features section, which are implemented through a script instead.
- Removed Map Marker changes that were duplicates of changes in Map Marker Reputation Fix.
- Removed changes to Rotface's dialogue (now in YUP).

Feedback
If you have recommendations for mods that you think would be a good fit for this collection, please leave a comment and I'll find a way to manage the suggestions. If you are a mod author and would like your work added to this collection, or would like to help in maintaining it if I go AWOL, you are best contacting me on Discord.
Bear in mind that I set myself the rules below to try and prevent scope creep.
The aim of the collection is to create a single, easy to install package that enhances the vanilla gameplay experience through numerous small changes that feel like they could have been part of the release game. This can include visual tweaks, minor bits of cut content, quality-of-life fixes, consistency fixes, etc.
- Mods contained in the collection should be simple in scope and implementation.
- The collection should 'feel vanilla' in terms of gameplay and aesthetics.
- The collection should be suitable to use in any load order (within reason) in terms of compatibility and gameplay consistency.
- The collection should only include mods that are complete (as far as can be determined) and that are unlikely to be updated by the original author.
- The collection should function without NVSE as far as is practicable.
- Any features that don't conform to the above should be optional, either by being a separate plugin or controlled by an INI option.
- The collection shall not use Script Runner (as scripts should be contained in the plugin).
- The collection should not contain new mods so that the author gets due credit and exposure for their work, unless they expressly want to be included in the collection.
- The collection shall not earn DP or promote donations in accordance with some authors' wishes.
- It will be recommended that the file should be loaded high up in the load order, so that other mods overwrite it.
