Absolutely a must for any subseqent run from now on. A great mod. Actually played around with it to remove the negative effects form addiction if one has logan's loophole and decreased the sneak buff to just +10 to keep things balanced (imo otherwise made sneak skill aside from perks a bit weak). One small thing though, for me the messages informing of remaining stealthboy charge just go to 3/5 and then stay there until it is discharged. Couldn't find any issue in the scripts, has anyone encountered this?

Love this mod,is there a way to disable the stealth invisibility fx? I get major lag spikes from 60 to 20 30 fps when i use it,the lag is so bad i cant even use them
I've addressed this issue in 1.07 version. You can download it and use following console command to disable FX: Set 11GlobalStealthBoyUncloakingFXEnabled to 0
However, if we are talking about disabling the character transparency effect, then this command will not help.
Whenever I have this mod installed, it appears that the stealth boy visual effect for the player is missing, but not for Lily.
I don't think it's an issue with the mod, as no one else has complained about it, rather it's most likely a mod conflict but I can't figure out for the life of me which mod could be causing it.
No worries. As I said, it's probably a mod conflict, but I'll leave this comment here in case someone else has it so I could compare mods with them to see what could be causing it.
This, along with Fading Fingerprint (More Perks feature) probably just created the first real stealth build for New Vegas. And it actually (finally) includes negative effects. They always talk about the dangers of Stealth Boy use in game, but it's never actually implemented. This is awesome.

It's something to do with FEV and the physical changes in Nightkin brains. The US Government ran numerous tests on Stealth Boys with the US Army and almost never saw any negative effects. But still, like Dr. Henry said, it's possible.
1.) Just delete or disable parts of StealthBoyTrackerScript that set LocalUncloakOnAttack to 1 in GECK. Basically you'll want to make sure the LocalUncloakOnAttack == 1 condition is never met. This change makes Stealth Boys as powerful as the Stealth Suit from Operation: Anchorage. Very unbalanced, but it's part of the lore. Reconsider depending on what kind of game you want

I far as I remember, there was no stealth boys in F2 for some reason. But i really like how they worked in F1

-"Stealth boy mechanic overhaul (No Uncloak) (EN)" from the "Optional files" on this mod page which I made basing on 1.06 version
