Thanks for downloading and all the positive comments! I'll be looking into what else I can add to this over time as I update it along side Desert Natural Weathers. Suggestions are welcome. Please endorse!
This will always be updated whenever it needs to be as DNW receives updates.
Compatible with Desert Natural Realism Redux, just load this after.
Not compatible with Desert Style Weathers at the moment as that mod is out of date with the current version of DNW. When it's updated I'll make a patch if necessary.
Sandstorms only appear in the Mojave and will not show up in the Capital Wasteland if you're using the TTW version!
I love this mod but for some reason it almost never actually happens, like i could wait for ingame weeks and i wouldnt get a single sandstorm, even after making the chances higher in xEdit
Just wondering but what's the proper load order with Neutral Weathers patch? DNS conflicts with a script record in Neutral Weathers, the patch file it says to load after DNW, DNS, and Neutral Weathers, but I get script errors in console if I do that exact order. Seems fine with DNW, Neutral, DNS, then the patch?
which file can i find the spawn chance in xedit, i already changed the perception loss from 4 to 2 because..no...but what about the spawn chance, maybe ill swap it back to 4 if i can have it be more infrequent. the embed link here is to my question with images but on reddit.
If anyone else want to edit the chance in xEdit, the value is found under Desert Natural Sandstorms.esp -> Climate -> AADNClimate -> Scroll down until you find SandstormWeather and SandstormWeather2, there you can edit the chance (default 10 and 5), also the chance of every other Weather added by Desert Natural Weathers
That would be appreciated. It's not game breaking and it definitely adds to the atmosphere, it just gets in the way of dialogue when there's high winds and I'm talking to someone. Either way absolutely amazing mod, nothing quite like DNW, DNR and DNS.
Mod literally gave my character brain damage on uninstall, permanent -4 perception debuff making it impossible to unlock very hard containers. It's marked as not a bug, but it really should be because my save file is ruined.
Weather mods should be able to be uninstalled mid play through and be fine
It is not a bug. That's a side effect of bad modding practice.
You shouldn't uninstall any mod during a real playthrough of the game. Regardless of what other people may tell you.
Your best bet is to reinstall the mod and try shuffling the weathers with DNW's weather shuffle keys (should be shift and \) and see if that removes the sandstorm effect. Definitely make sure the weather isn't a sandstorm before you try to remove the mod that adds sandstorms. Then try uninstalling at your own risk.
Think you could just disable all other weathers in DNW's .ini but not 100 percent sure. Have never tried it. You would have to wait 3 in game days for them to show up though I think.

Would make the mod perfect, imo, especially when paired with the deadly sandstorms mod

my new reddit post asking the worst possible sub for this question.
