Love it! Makes dealing with tanky Enclave in TTW a non issue. I do have one slight issue, for some reason whenever it hits a target, my performance takes a heavy hit. I don't really have any graphical mods and my pc is decent, so I think the problem may be with the mod itself. Perhaps the EMP lightning effect being repeated with every shot has something to do with it?
probably is the EMP effect, although I have no performance hit on my end. It's just a base game particle effect, I haven't added anything new. I can make a performance friendly patch for you if you want!
Heyyy thanks for addressing it so quickly! It unfortunately didn't fix the issue, so it could be a problem on my end. Guess I'll dig into my load order and test things out. I'll keep the performance version installed though because it couldn't hurt, thanks again
That's very weird! It's just using the vanilla EMP effect with a very simply recolored mesh for the laser beam and impact fx, but they're still vanilla assets minus the coloring. If you have anything that changes the LAER or anything like that, maybe that's the cause? Fingers crossed for ya
Sooo turns out it was an engine bug. Found a fix on nexus that worked like a charm if anyone else runs into the same issue https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/71973
so i installed the performance version and im getting a big triangle with a ! in the middle of it, i dont have any other mods that mess with the vanilla weapons
is this incompatible with EVE? i don't know what it is but i was having issues with this showing up as one of those error triangles with the exclamation EDIT: actually could it be the Laser PDW mod? they have similar purpose but they're different enough i was using both
i really like the gun, but i feel like it deserves a slight buff for being a unique, it's pretty much useless on higher difficulties, but still really fun to use.
You think? The base RCW does 15 base damage per shot, and with laser commander and a some optimized ammo it shreds everything i throw at it. I figured the heathy boost to fire rate would more than compensate for the only slightly lowered damage.
You could also try adding the same script that GRA uses where if any of the vendors for unique weapons are killed, the weapons are added to the vendertrons inventory, no idea if it would work though.

Or you could always console it in and leave 6000 caps on the counter. WeapNVLaserRCWUnique is the editorID.
