Version 3:Huge balancing update for the main versions of the mod that include the bows!
I've greatly reduced the amount of arrows found in loot. When I made this I was trying to play it safe and ensure that they never ran out of arrows, but I grossly overestimated. No longer will Vipers have 20 arrows on their corpses lmao (sorry.) I've also made it harder to find the valuable Datura Antivenom needed to cure the effects of the Vipers venomous weaponry. Stock up on Stimpacks and cross your fingers if you decide to take them on at a lower level. They will now also drop regular low condition bows upon death.
Thanks to everyone who provided balancing feedback, especially Faded135. They should be more fun to battle now that the stakes have been raised a bit and hopefully should feel more balanced.
If you still find their loot to be too high or if regular vanilla loot is to abundant.. I highly recommend using Unfound Loot by Eddoursul. I've been using it for years now and it makes the game more difficult and randomized. It also does not touch mod added loot so you'll never miss items that need to be where you want them.
Am I supposed to load Mojave Raiders after Venomous vipers?? I've been switching any raider mods I have around to try and make it work, but Mojave Raiders still overrides the outfits from VV.
yeah, it's not working I keep seeing vipers but no outfits just weapons can you explain or the very least tell me if this conflict with Mojave raiders mod because I have that on, please explain
the knife becomes a part of their body when they die? i can't pick up the knife, it acts like a corpse, but when i shoot it it drops to the ground and becomes a weapon
edit i've fixed it myself, by just removing the deathitem id in xedit for all the npcs
yea, I am using the latest version, they only shoot with their arrows like 1 to 3 times maximum then switch to their knives. I am not using any AI overhaul BTW. I think it would be better if you make them into 3 different classes that only use a specific weapon, spear throwing guys, bow guys, knife guys. like how is it in Vanila some raiders are melee only and some are ranged only.
Might be that they only are spawning with a few arrows and are running out. I'll keep it in mind when doing any future updates. I won't be making separate classes however. Thanks for the input.
For some reason all of them have max durability knifes, and that makes them always equip them and never use the b42 bows, is there a way i can change this via xEdit or something?
