    You know there are easier ways to remedy that. Type console commands since modding requires JIP and xNVSE anyways.

    Approach the target NPCs you prefer not being dead meat, press ~ (on a QWERTY keyboard), click on the NPC, type GBO to get their FormID and type this;

    setessential [FormID] 1.

    Now you can test new weapons on their ugly face without fear of accidentally wasting someone, just like real life!

      NPCs being essential is unrealistic and can break other things.

      That's why merchants are better worth this function since they don't interfere with story missions and you'll want someone to sell crap to.

    I'm not sure why it got quarantined, but I re-uploaded. If it gets quarantined again I'll complain.

    This is a great idea for a mod - I'm a big Lupe and Fitz fan and tired of resurrecting them! :) I hope you can get the problem with the virus scan fixed.

    The file says it's been automatically quarantined and may be unsafe, so it won't let me download it.

    I remember in my current game that I was doing that quest to get meats for the "Camp McCarran Chef"  and I was going around to make the deals with the meat-people (what?). Just as this mod mentions, as I approached the meat-lovers in their camp, the assassins spawned around with their crazy weaponry. Just like that (and thanks to some other NPC-adding mods that add life to the Mojave), some kind of World War 8 started with NPCs falling left and right in the barrage of bullets... in short words, I can confirm this mod is needed for those occasions. Well done.

    This came out a day after Fitz got himself killed in my playthrough. The struggle is real :’(

       I appreciate this. Bravest Npc's who've never even met me, leaving their stalls and travelling 2 miles down a Mojave road to help me fight a horde of Legion Assassins' that somehow know where I am fast travelling too when I just picked a random location too loot. 
    It's inspiring. 
    And IRRITATTING AF. Because I'm running enough potentially game snapping stuff as it is, so whenever I use the Res command I drop to my knees and pray to RNGEESUS that it's not the final straw the save can handle. 

    And I appreciate all the protips but I'm really not trying to run around playing that level of God all the time. I have Legion Dimwits too explode here.
