The companion is great, but the writing for it could really use a writing pass. "Ok" instead of "okay" and quite a lot of swearing for absolutely no reason, including the ridiculous
<The lizard rolls its eyes as if saying 'Thank f*#@">
Also, the lizard has a tendency to get stuck or block passages in tighter spaces, more so than other companions (for example, the house in Searchlight where Private Edwards lives). Due to being so wide, I often found the only solution in those cases is to disable the Gila temporarily using the console. It also has a tendency to sink into floors.
The mod could also use forwarding the Strip Lights Region flag to its home marker.
Other than those issues, I've had one gilava of a time with this lizard. Really unique concept!
I'm not some puritan opposed to having any swearing in a mod, but the usage of it for a lizard companion mod is excessive and doesn't fit other player dialogue in the game. I feel like my Courier suddenly became Boxcars from Nipton when I read the dialogue for this mod.
Apart from the Gila having strange collisions (can easily block narrow passages or make it hard to walk around in a small room), it's a pretty damn good mod, and the radiation upgrade is dope af.
I had this problem and was able to solve it so I'm posting it in case anyone else has the issue. If the prompt to add or remove a hat disappears simply select the "Let's talk about your tactics." and then click "That's enough about tactics." and the prompt to add/remove headwear should reappear.
