Hello Wombat, by any chance could you do this for Fallout 3 aswell? It's in dire need of some love, I get that TTW is a thing now but some of us like the original experience. I was going to post this on the Enhanced Movement page but I figured that would be asking for too much. If not it's fine but It would be a real treat for sure
Edit: I just realised that this mod requires 2 other mods which aren't available for Fallout 3 sadly, I guess it will never happen.
Everything can be disabled in EM so that's a moot point. Moreover, the EM version is up to date and has all the internal issues fixed, hence "improved version of the mod".
I know this is all going to go in one ear and out the other, the fact that you even said what you said in the first place.
You can't disable the Sneak Cam Transision, Fall off and camera Height, so it's not really true you can disable everything and just keep the Sliding Fix.
Of course you can't, because all of those are fixes that were originally going to be part of this mod. This was even talked about in the thread right below this. Moreover, you can easily adjust the settings to make it match the vanilla game.
Do you actually got something to say or just playing gotcha?
Being told no has apparently turned you into an imbecilic child who can't speak straight. Your parachute analogy is asinine because I made all these mods. And as I've told you, EM has internal issues fixed, which means it's the other way around.
Still, it's progress that you decided to edit your post that said "ok neggut" and write something somewhat comprehensible.
If you go into sneak immediately after stopping the character glitches out still. In 1st person you crouch instantly. I think this is the only trace of jank left over.
Is there any chance this mod could be updated to contain the fix? I only ask because it may be useful for those of us who are mid-playthrough and can't safely install the main mod for whatever reason (I'm personally afraid uninstalling FPS Leaning will break my save).
Thanks for all the recent releases, by the way. Enhanced Movement looks fantastic!
The reason I can't update this anymore is because the scope of the mod would have to be expanded to be like EM in order to deal with the problems surrounding sneaking. It'd just be EM without prone, leaning, sprint, etc. In other words, why not just use EM. All those features can already be toggled off anyway.
I've looked through the code in FPS Leaning. It's pretty minimalist and safe to uninstall mid game. So is EM. They both can be safely installed/uninstalled.
Is this compatible with 360 movement, because that mod if I recall correctly said to enable bNoTurningAim = 1. Where as this mod disables it by setting it to 0.
Seems to work fine with 360 movement, you can run around and turn as you please just fine.
It does cause an issue with 3rd person animation replacers, like ones made by Frozen or Sigerious. They come with idle/standing animations, so disabling "bNoTurningAnim" will cause your character to interrupt the idle animation and flinch whenever you look around in 3rd person.
On the other hand, it doesn't interrupt idle animations while wielding weapons in 1st person. So stuff like your character moving fingers while holding a shotgun with ETJ animations doesn't get broken.
You can disable the disabling of bNoTurningAnim by deleting the "1stPersonSlidingFix_Settings.ini" file or changing its format into something unreadable. But you'll need to re-enable the setting back on via Stewie's menu or .ini for it to work again.
if you put the following into nvse/plugins/tweaks/inis/1stpersonslidingfix.ini , it should disable the no turning anim tweak in stewie's tweaks automatically. might be a good idea to include with this mod
Hard incompatible as they both rely on the same animation files. Nothing I can do about that.
The other method I tinkered with that I didn't release worked by modifying locomotion files, which obviously isn't compatible with any animation mods that do the same and are based on default animations. However, it is fully compatible with FPS Leaning from the looks of it. I can clean those up and release them as a alt optional version if people want.
Sliding would still occur if you stop while leaning though, but at least it's not locked out completely. I don't use that mod so this is as far as I'm willing take it.
Thanks for the update. I don't think it'd even be worth trying to get it to work while leaning. I use it just for conner peaking/shooting, it'd be weird walking around leaning lol.
Thank you again. I love game play fixing mods. good job.
I see your comment that you're not willing to go further with the mod (which is completely fine and appreciate your work so far), can you let me know what to look at in your code to tinker with further compatibility? I use the toggle version of fps lean and with this mod, it only acts as a hold.
