What a cool mod. Mine still looks like crap compared to your screenshots though, most noticeably the lack of ambient occlusion. Can you explain what you had to do to get that to work?  (Also curious what other mods your using but I digress) Thanks for all your work!

Most likely ENB but possibly Reshade as well; I think it can do that though to my knowledge ENB is better. Sadly the ENB creator is human garbage but what can you do. Here's the link to download ENB and uh... here's the link to read about Boris.

The homophobia, stealing, lying, and being a little snaky b&@*$ aren't even all he's done, as there's substantial evidence of him being a 42 year old virgin obsessed with dehumanizing women in every way he can unless, of course, they're Asian.

Oh by the way, if you want just the AO and nothing else, you're in luck as long as you have an NVIDIA graphics card.

Im pretty sure it's not ENB, and you really shouldn't even be touching that for NV. I think it's rather NVR, though I couldn't tell you what preset it is. NVR is way better for NV, please don't use ENB or any other hacky methods.

A glorious mod. One question though, will you ever make a 1K or 512 version?

Get GIMP and the addon to open .dds files, you should be able to look it up; then go into the folder where the grass texture is located, open it with GIMP, go into Image -> Scale Image, and set it to 1k or 500.

I'm a newb at modding and was wondering if anyone could recommend a good 4k or updated mod list for me compatible with mod organizer for Fallout New Vegas. I am currently only using Nexus Mods and I know little to nothing about modding so any help would be greatly appreciated. I loved the vanilla game but I'm looking to make it updated as close to Fallout 4 as much as possible. Examples: Updated graphics, updated textures (water, land, flora, armor, clothing including clothing and armor for factions, weapons, faces for npc''s and character creation ect...) along with mods to fix the bad 3rd person camera view and new lighting to the game instead of the outdated lighting that's in the game currently including inside lighting. Any lore friendly expansion mods would be great. I want to fill the game with as much functional life as possible, updated AI for all the NPC's and companions, better fighting mechanics for gameplay, npc combat, also the addition of new functional buildings, climbable water towers, new areas, functional vehicles (cars, combat vehicles, motor cycles, trucks, anything flight as close to lore friendly as possible ect...) any help would be greatly appreciated.

(im not a native english speaker, so excuse my grammar)
If you need knowledge about Modding FNV, i recommend "Gophers" 7 Video Series, just to get a little grip on how it works.(you don't need to watch all seven) but i wouldnt download the mods in the video yet.
If you plan to mod with high resolution Textures you definately need to install Stability mods first or your Game will run horribly and crash often(Fallout New Vegas || FPS & Stability Guide (youtube.com)  these mods pretty much cover it(but i would download xnvse from nexus and not the mention nvse, because its older and some new mods wnt work)      This Video is basically an extension of gophers first video

A "good" modlist is "VeryLastKiss's New New Vegas | Fallout New Vegas | Nexus Mods" but i would recommend building your own modded game, because  there is always unneccesary stuff or stuff you won´t like.

Just a Base of mods i always use are:
NMCs_Texture_Pack_For_New_Vegas at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)Biggest fnv texture mod, its a good base   OJO BUENO Texture Pack at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)
Nut Vegas - Landscapes at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)
Clothes HD - Workers at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)The Author made several other mods for other Clothes just look it up on his profile
Weapon Retexture Project - WRP at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)But i would download for the weapon/s that you use the most a mod that focuses on the texture of exactly that weapon
The Living Desert - Travelers Patrols Consequences Increased Population and more at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)

Fallout new vegas Reloaded  (1) Discord | #nightly-builds | TES Reloaded(always the latest file displayed in the section "fnv nightly build"(Tes Reloaded on discord is where you can find it(not nexus) Dont skip this even if you download a modlist(it really makes a big difference)

The Following are probably the best Npc Overhauls, but it doesnt cover everything
      [FNV][REL] BoS: Reforged - drag's BoS overhaul (gunetwork.org)
      [FNV][REL] Drag's Powder Ganger Overhaul [PitNB] (gunetwork.org)
[FNV][REL] Boomers Go Boom: Drag's Boomer Overhaul (gunetwork.org)
      [FNV][REL] Drag's Novac Overhaul (gunetwork.org)
      [FNV][Release] NCR Ultimate Overhaul v1.0.1 (gunetwork.org)
      [FNV][REL]Drag's Various WIP Collection (gunetwork.org)
      [FNV][REL] We Are Legion - drag's legion overhaul (gunetwork.org)

These will overhaul every npc even the ones added by other mods(put these before "drags" npc overhauls in the load order so that they wont overwrite them)
Character Kit Remake at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)  Face                                                                               Character Kit Remake - Hair at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)         hair                                                             Character Kit Remake - Hands at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)    Hands
Natural eyes by zzjay at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)    eyes
High Resolution Male Body Textures at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)  Body

(New) Vegas Haircut - New Hair and Modders Resource at Fallout New Vegas - mods and community (nexusmods.com)   its a haircut i always youse because i just dont like the vanilla hairstyles( it wont show up on npcs)

How i do it, is looking at some mods and when i like them i go on the authors profile and check out his other mods.

      Some of my favorite authors:
Balebandr0's Profile | Nexus Mods  Textures
chilloucik's Profile | Nexus Mods   Textures
mojavesuave's Profile | Nexus Mods Textures
pommymax's Profile | Nexus Mods Textures
Scouter408's Profile | Nexus Mods  Textures

Xilandro's Profile | Nexus Mods Player animations
hitman47101's Profile | Nexus Mods Player animations

AmaccurzerO's Profile | Nexus Mods  World animations
Ashens2014's Profile | Nexus Mods World animations

Millenia's Profile | Nexus Mods    Weapons

kvatchcount's Profile | Nexus Mods lore friendly adding of npcs

Zebumper's Profile | Nexus Mods  Changing Npc behaviour for more immersive feel

friendlynonmurderingsort's Profile | Nexus Mods  location overhauls

How GUNPLAY Should've Been in Fallout New Vegas (Vanilla-Friendly Mods) (youtube.com)   For gunplay i would just watch some video on yt cause you can get really deep into it (this one is an example)

Downloading the mods that are not on nexus is still pretty easy with Mo2, just drag and drop the the files in the download section in Mo2
      Tutorials are also on yt

Summary; 1. watch gophers video  2.download stability mods of the second video 3.Download mods you want in your game

      Good Luck!🤠

Ignore everything the person above just told you. Gophers video is heavily outdated + there are better alternatives.

My recommendation is to follow the Viva New Vegas Guide to properly set up New Vegas for modding and stability.
Then if you want graphics and textures I recommend following Salamanders Visual Renewal Guide as that will provide a series of texture mods that will improve upon new vegas visuals.

I did say that wouldnt download the mods of gophers video, but in my opinion its a great video to learn about how to mod the game in general(termonoligy etc.)
And downloading the mods of the second video is an easy way to stabilize the game, especially for someone who is new to modding.

Problem is, you recommend more than one problematic mod. And installing ALL of that is just not good for a new modder, especially with so many conflicts.
100% do what DracoVampire said instead.
