Someone finally did it! I am one of those people that hates putting overly tacticool sheid in my game. It irritates me to no end because it clashes with the game's overall aesthetic. That being said, these games sometimes love to aesthetically beat themselves with baseball bat to the face. One of those instances was the design of all the weapons portrayed here.
I think the so called "Marksman Rifles" are on the worst ones I've seen, but what actually bothered me more than anything else was the obnoxiously curved (and very much cursed dare I say) magazines.
Even the AK47 doesn't have that amount of curve to it's magazine, let alone an AR type weapon.
is cool, and i dont have anything negative to say. if you wonder why mags are curved then know that it isnt an asthetic choice
Some firearm magazines are curved to match the way tapered or rimmed ammunition stacks on top of itself. A straight magazine can't stack tapered cartridges properly past a certain length, so the magazine is curved to accommodate the stack. The more tapered the cartridges and the more cartridges in the magazine, the more the magazine needs to be curved. The curvature also helps prevent the rounds from jamming.
I like this, I'm not sure it would work out well for me since I use multiple weapon retextures, but the magazines and their capacities are something that's always bothered me in this game.
It should probably work, unless the texture mods completely redo the UV mapping; this particular mod doesn't change anything about the textures and each magazine uses the same texture as the gun it's attached to. Either way, I'm glad you like it.
