Am I missing something? I have all the requirements installed (Better Cigarettes - by zzjay, Base Object Swapper and B42 Inject) and yet the cigarette packs are in the MISC section and I can't consume them, therefore the animation never plays?
Is there any other mod I'm supposed to get? Playing with TTW, btw
I'm having the same issue I think cigarette packs and cartoons that spawned in containers and vendors are the normal non usable ones but the ones that spawn on tables are swapped with base objects swapper correctly to be honest I just keep looking for some that are placed on a table or something and sell the cigarette cartons and packs that don't work until a patch or a fix is made could be intentional I'm not too sure my head cannon is their stale or wet thus unusable
I see that the new items appear in the world space but im having trouble when it comes to vendor inventories and looting enemies. Is it intentional that the original “cigarette pack” and cartons are still supposed to be found from vendors and loot? I dont see the new types when looting or trading, only in the world. Playing ttw 3.3.3.
Yea they only appear in the world space, loot and vendors give normal cigarettes. I'm not sure if base object swapper can handle loot and vendors so that might be the issue. It may not be fixable if the mod only uses BOS, hands crossed though.
Please add a compatibility patch for the mod: Light Up and Smoke Those Cigarettes (and Cigars and Cigarillos). So that your mod adds only animations to this mod, and not new cigarettes that are scattered in the world of the Fallout, since the Light Up and Smoke Those Cigarettes (and Cigars and Cigarillos) mod already adds cigarettes everywhere, and everything worked correctly
To everyone having the issue where Cigarettes would only appear in the Misc Category instead of Aid: I got the mod, with the animations, to work by uninstalling everything and Disabling Vanilla UI+.
Then I re-installed B42 Inject, Base Object Swapper, Better Cigs by zzjay, and then this Mod (Version 1.5) letting it Overwrite Better Cigs by zzjay. Again, Make sure This Mod loads AFTER Better Cigs by zzjay.
I ran the game, confirmed it worked, saved, and then Enabled Vanilla UI+, and now they all play friendly with one another.
Idk why, but disabling Vanilla UI+ and then following the install instructions seemed to be the only fix for me. I tried doing everything above with Vanilla UI+ enabled and for whatever reason the Cigs would always end up, un-interactable and stuck in Misc. I couldn't find any conflicts between the two mods either, which is weird, but I think something is going on between VUI+ and Base Object Swapper.
Hope this helps anyone that was as frustrated as I've been for the last few hours, trying to figure this s#*! out.
Do mods that put the items in categories interfere with this mod? Because I did everthing right and the cigarettes are now in miscellaneous, instead of aid. I it to work correctly before, so Im at a loss here.
Nice work on the animations. Would be perfect though if you showed smoke coming off the cigarette and being blown out. Otherwise it just doesn't hit like it should.
One of my favorite NV mods, was wondering if this is compatible to TTW (The begin again modlist) or point me in the direction to where to learn how to do it myself lolol. Thanks in advanced and much appreciated! BTW Malay you do EXCELLENT work on all of your mods!!
@turkyballsoffire Its strange. I have TTW with a minimal modlist (around 50 mods or so), however cigarretes box in Capital Wasteland goes into junk section of my inventory, and i cant use them, but when i go to New Vegas and pick up cigarretes it works. How did you manage to fix it?
