About this mod
Changed quest "Birds of a Feather" so that using Terrifying Presence with Jean-Baptiste manages the quest without starting a fight or killing Cass.
Also changed some guard duty rewards depending on how well you performed.
Added some other improvements I think are needed.

I redid a lot of small things and not so small in the quest "Birds of a Feather' so that using 'Terrifying Presence' with Jean-Baptiste will have one of two reactions.
1) End the quest as failed without starting a fight or killing Cass.
2) Continue the quest without starting a fight or killing Cass if your performance so far has been ok. (BlackMarks)
I'm using 'BlackMarks' to track how well the player does overall by tracking your previous employment performance. (all those small things I mentioned)
If you get more than 14 'BlackMarks' you fail the quest after getting your guard duty pay.
I'm also using 'BlackMarks' to adjust guard duty pay.
If you have to many 'BlackMarks' you fail the quest when you protect Cass from Jean-Baptist using 'Terrifying Presence'.
Finally I'm using 'BlackMarks' to adjust how much Gloria charges for merchandise.
You could end up with a 20% discount for completing the quest or a 25% inflation for failing the quest based on your performance.
Also, I made it so that the Jean and Gloria won't do the warehouse if you have Cass in your party, Jean is just a little upset about not getting his way.

I've made it so Simon searches you again at the door if you fail the quest as well as implementing the usual 'holdout weapons' feature found at other points in the game.
I've restored some unused dialog when bringing Cass to Jean-Baptiste so if you have her with you when first talking to him it skips ahead instead of asking you to bring her even though she is standing right there.
I've made it so when the Bomb explodes your companions also get pushed away and now that explosion hurts everyone pushed.
(this is what conflicted with Uncut Wasteland Extra Collection)
This is my first MOD so be gentle.
This mod changed many things in quest VMS29a so it could conflict with MODs that also change the Birds of a Feather Quest or just interact with it like VMS29
(after studying the quest I've seen some broken and unused parts, some I stumbled with until I figured it out)

If you managed to get my original version 1, you will need to uninstall it before installing the updated version.

I may take another crack at some of the stuff I was not able to "fix" at a later date after redoing my VNV install since it has been updated since I got it.

When you are on guard duty Simon can sometimes miss his cue to cleanup dead bodies (Mostly when fighting Pacer and his Buddies). I think this is because as soon as Pacer is dead, scripts activate but can be interrupted if you or your companions continue combat against Pacer's extra thugs. I've also seen it happen rarely with the Bomber before Pacer. I was able to get these issues to show up without my mod loaded so I know it's not something I created.
Also in the final fight at the Van Graff warehouse, the grenade to start the fight does not happen most of the time to give you a visual cue. I'll work to figure this out at a later date unless I get some help. I'm going to do a fresh install of the VNV up to the Base Finish and check how it does.
Finally got a clean install of VNV (as of the 3-9-2025 updates) Base Finish, confirmed mod ok (after minor fix see changelog) and that the warehouse grenade is working. see image provided.
Next to playtest an Extended Finish with mod and try and resolve Pacers buddies and check Grenade.
Extended playtest all works ok now, don't know what was wrong before.
