WARNING: THIS MOD IS INCOMPATIBLE WITH FREESIDE OPEN AND ITS VARIANTS.
Thank you all for playing the mod! I'll be patching in updates and fixes as needed. This is a sizeable mod (roughly 3,000 lines of dialogue), so I'm certain there will be discrepancies. Please post if you encounter bugs and/or errors.
I will be taking a break from New Vegas modding for the next 8 months due to work, and to avoid burnout. This has been a very productive year, and I appreciate all the support. I may be releasing a few small (actually small, not "small") mods for TES this summer, but in all likelihood modding will be on hold until 2026. Thank you all again! Viva New Vegas!
Side-Quests: - Wolf‘s Bakery - Aunt Fay‘s House - Derelict Tower at Nellis AFB
Changelog: - Version .96: Corrected grammatical errors and added missing VO. - Version .97: Corrected missing dialogue to update Ace's quest. - Version .975: Corrected missing audio and mismatched audio/text. - Version .98: - Implemented backup scripts for Krodh and Stage 124 of LeMay's quest. - Implemented a backup script for killing Harcourt. - Fixed contradictions regarding Molly's fate (as said by Constantine). - NPCs from Potosi Pass will no longer follow you to the Mojave Wasteland. - Corrected Robotic Expert dialogue bug in the bunker.
Could a kind soul please remind me where is Aunt Fay's house located? I want to return there for the epilogue side quest(s?), but I can't remember where it is.
I can hardly write this as I'm still shaking with laughter. First of all, thank you for the quick response, mister Rooster.
Second of all, I did not intend to reply to your reply purely because of redundancy reasons, so as not to spam your notifications with a simple 'thanks', but I have to.
Upon returning to Aunt Fay's house and starting the epilogue quest, well, I expected something interesting - as it frequently happens with your mods, both the recent ones, as well as the older ones - but this, this is incredible. A surprise, to be sure, but a welcome one... Upon talking to poor Private Duffy I actually started laughing out loud, and I am still cackling. Hilarious.
You, sir, are in the opinion of this humble gamer, the very best mod maker in the history of Fallout games, this is just incredible.
I WAS expecting something cool/engaging/fun, since it is 'just' a side/epilogue quest to a mod of yours, but I know your work - you have spoiled us so that every side quest, holotape or a minor encounter might be awesome; however this, this is beyond fantastic. The little things, as well as the bigger, overarching stuff. I quit the game and came here to type this, and now I'm gonna load a previous save just so that I can talk to the gambler and to Private Duffy again.
Effing remarkable.
I salute you, sir. I have been a fan of your work for a very long time now, I've watched (well, listened to) your interviews a while ago - I wish you the very best in your life, and may God reward you for the joy and fun you've brought to people who play your wonderful mods. If you ever come to Croatia, I would be honored to drink a beer or 5 with you.
EDIT: the other two side quest are equally awesome. A minor bug report: Le May sometimes changes his physical form, well, stretches it out actually, and looks as though he's a Daedric god from Skyrim... meaning, he no longer uses his character model, rather he looks as if he is a concoction of physically separated, yet floating together parts.
It has no effect on his dialogue or scripted combat etc., but yeah, he becomes an amalgamation of simultaneously moving floating parts, lol
I‘m extremely flattered by the praise. Thank you so much for the support. Knowing that the end product will be a source of entertainment for users helps me grind through moments when the GECK makes me want to take an axe to my pc.
I knew it was going to be a while before I could make content again, so I tried to make the most out of Detour. I’m very happy to see the extra content is enjoyable. As LeMay as my witness, I Shall return!
I‘ll definitely take you up on that offer if I’m in Croatia! God bless!
Edit: The rational explanation for LeMay‘s discombobulation is the model, but I choose to believe it’s Judge Richter, Balls and Pickles cursing him from Goodsprings.
It's as if all the demons of the Internet, modding Bethesda games, and evil machine spirits cursed me, since I've been playing this playthrough for the last 5 months, with NVB 1 & 2, Project Nevada, The Inheritance, AWOP & a couple of (dozen) other mods activated - without any significant problems apart from the occasional CTD - yet right now comes the second bug.
In the later part of LeMay's quest, after terminating K.... (the airport ambush), nothing happens. The quest doesn't register the execution; I've searched the comments and the bug sections to no avail, I've tried resurrecting K... and killing him with both console commands, as well as regular firepower...
I can't find a fix, or a 'setstage' workaround, please advise.
/on to other matters 1) I agree, it must be Judge Richter's bad mojo, produced by his untimely end, affecting all this BS. 2) Thank you; I must stress that we do have a wonderful country with beautiful landscape and a mixed Italo-Germanic-Hungarian-Slavic-Turkish (predominantly these influences) cuisine to die for; and I'm dead serious about a possible rendez-vous, just send me a PM a week, two or three before you plan to visit! My brother, our girlfriends and I can prepare a nice evening for you and the Missus; or we can make it a boys' night. We can show you how to drink a litre/liter of Croatian Jagermeister without becoming a zombie, among other things. Salute!
EDIT: workaround for the bug - after eliminating K, either at the airport ambush site or attacking his base, just continue regardless of the quest markers - continue back to the airport base of operations, and then talk to your companions. The questline should continue, without any usage of console commands.
Oh, and...
ACE YOBLANSKY IS AN AMERICAN HERO, WHO DIED FIGHTING CHINESE COMMUNISTS
A lot of perk checks I wasn't expecting, I love to see that stuff. Quality writing as is tradition. I dream of having Barf as a companion, as I am a dog collector for rp-purposes.
Thank you for playing and posting feedback - I'm glad you enjoyed the mod! I will always have dogs around, especially when a certain gentleman returns... eventually. ;)
I've been using that Damascus knife thing in my main playthrough for like a good few hours since finishing the quest and I just ran into Russel for the first time in a while and realized he had the same damn knife!
playing The Inheritance for the first time and Bradley just told me about fighting the Claws when he was with the NCR and I thought "hey that's familiar" and remembered Molly and her whole backstory...DUDE THIS IS PEAK THIS IS PEAK FICTION I HAVEN'T TOUCHED A VANILLA QUEST IN DAYS
I love this mod! Every main character has its own unique personality which makes them actually fun to interact with, I enjoyed multiple dialogue choices as well.
Spoiler:
Show
during the final battle I've had many problems trying to keep all of the crew alive because of the BLEED mod, final goodbyes were definitelly worth it though ;D
genuinely the most beautiful heartfelt story I've personally played in a mod. I adored my weird little posse and I already miss them dearly. loved the callbacks to old stuff and loved the nods to potential stories to come.
Can anyone post a list of the sites added by the mod? I'm running more mojave and I'm not sure I'll be able to pick them out - don't want to miss anything. Thanks!

The house is northeast of the sharecropper farms - it’s distinguished by a lantern near the front entrance.
