im like 1 hour into the game and since i replaced the files on the moveis folder with the ones of the mod, i cant proceed. There's like a moment where i go with 9S to the exoskeleton and it keeps moving forward forever, since there should be a clip there where i enter the exoskeleton but it doesnt work. how can i fix it?
Did you install it after being 1 hour into the game (and so this is the first cutscene you're trying to play with the mod) or did you have it since the beginning and this is the first cutscene that doesn't work?
If it's the first case then make sure you installed it as described in the description (including the 4th step so you're sure it's working properly). If it's the second case and other cutscenes are working, it would have to mean you had damaged archive and some file(s) got extracted with errors, although you would notice that...
Hi there, May I ask how you were able to convert upscaled cutscenes successfully into the game? Im having a lot of trouble getting upscaled USM to play in-game for the Alien Isolation upscale i am working on. Any help would be gratefully appreciated, feel free to DM me on steam or nexusmods. Thanks in advance !
yes. ether all main files or all optional files depending on the resolution you want. And you have to use LOD mod because it raises some file sice limit or so which is otherwise to low for this mod.
Just wanted to know do the subtitles work with these upscaled cutscenes? The other AI upscale version seems to have no subtitles. Also do the skin mods work in the cutscenes or are they just pre rendered? Thanks,
Subtitles work normally. Cutscenes are pre-rendered of course (otherwise this wouldn't exist) so the characters will always have the default outfits during them.
Sounds good. Thanks fpr the information. I know the game is old but after watching the anime I wanted to play this game. I will use these ones for 4k ultra quality.
I haven't tested it myself but it should be the same as with the current version. The only exception I can think of is if you're keeping LodMod's dll file with the default name (xinput1_4.dll) then for the 2017 build you should rename it to xinput1_3.dll instead for LodMod to work.
And like it was mentioned below the older build had 8 extra short videos (although it was only repeated scenes that were already in the other 150, so not sure if the older build even used them). If it does use them than you'd have those in the default quality.
Not mod-related but I am curious about this "Intended for the latest Steam version which contains 150 videos (looks like 8 out of the original 158 weren't needed and were removed).", what was in those 8 videos?
The older game version had 158 videos but if I remember correctly those 8 videos were only short sequences that are already part of some of the other videos.
You can actually use the Scaleform Video Encoder for that (well the 4.6.33 at least). While the program itself at first glance only lets you encode videos to USM container with either MPEG1 or H.264 codecs (with limited settings), it can also be used in command line to just mux your own MPEG1 or H.264 encodes to USM (although many games that use USM videos don't support H.264 USMs anyways of course).
Thanks for the quick reply. I am using 4.6.33, but I can't seem to figure out what option to use on the command line tool to tell it to just mux it. The help options doesn't give me any hints and it just keeps trying to encode it no matter what I set it to do.
