hello can you help me just copy the file now I can't play with 2b it doesn't load, it only lets me play with 9s and a2 or does someone have an autosave or a program that helps me turn off steamcloud and replace it with the old save file and nothing doesn't let me play with 2b even reinstall the game and nothing helps please
i tried injecting the save file about 10 times trying to do different things and it just does not work, please someone help with this i want to play Nier Automata again
Unfortunately it's not loading. Game starts up fine, my old saves work, but this new one just does nothing when I try to load it. Done some reading and afaik the game has some sort of redundancy built into the GameData.dat file, and there's also potential issues with the cloud saves. I tried disabling cloud, deleted my whole save folder, had a fresh new game on wiped save die in prologue, etc. But the file either didn't show up, or it showed up with the label of my old Slot 2 save and would not load at all.
Maybe it could work if you also uploaded your GameData.dat file? Though using that would require replacing the entire save folder. But I did test that I was able to restore my old save files from a backup and it is working fine again.
Going to have to check out that automodsave uznick mentioned. Though HybridAnalysis's sandbox flagged it as malicious.. maybe just a false positive since it's messing with the files in the folder (and supposedly only those files).. but idk that it's worth the risk. :/
UPDATE: Got it to work! I used NieR: Automata Save Importer - Version 0.1 by Fog. Similar idea to the modsave program mentioned earlier, but this one came up clean on the AV and sandbox scans so I felt more comfortable using it.
