I can't find any of those here and I see your video I did everything right but I can't find these shaders ReShade 5.4.0 even I paid for Pascal Patreon - quint_rtgi 0.33 or newer - qUINT_motionvectors - qUINT_regrade - quINT_solaris - qUINT_physical_dof_MKII there would be no way to put them in a separate folder and upload on the internet
My LoD Mod Settings: LODMultiplier = 0 AOMultiplierWidth = 1.25 (or 1) AOMultiplierHeight = 1.25 (or 1) ShadowResolution = 8192 (or 16384) (Stage 1/2 AO always active, increased Stage 3 AO) (Stage 3 increased basically means the AO "shadow" that starts to show when gettings near to a Building for example) (Stage 1/2 always active basically means that even far away Objects always have AO active, this is not usually the case) ShadowDistanceMinimum = 100 ShadowDistanceMultiplier = 4 (Sharp Shadows) ShadowFilterStrengthBias = -3 ; set t ShadowFilterStrengthMinimum = 1 ShadowFilterStrengthMaximum = 0 (Shadow Geometry) (Shadow "Shape" is now more true to Object, see Shadows cast by Buildings for example) ShadowModelHQ = true ShadowModelForceAll = true
This is the best i could come up with after trying stuff for several hours.
As makaragamz said updating ReShade to the latest version doesn't work now, so I used 5.1 and it worked so keep that in mind, besides that everything is working and looking amazing, so thanks for the effort
Thank you very much this guide! I hope I can get some help here. I followed all your guide till point 9. "Updating "old" ReShade", when I replace the old reshade folder with the new one from reshade.me, it doesn't want to load at all in the game, all of the important files are on their right spot:
It seems the method i used isn't working any more. It's been a while since i made this Preset and updated my NAHM installation so i don't even know which version of ReShade it uses at this point or where it stores its various Files. I advice you try reading NAHMs documentation if you want to update its ReShade. Theres probably a really easy method detailed in there. Otherwise just use the ReShade it comes with and then put my 5 Presets and my ReShade.ini in there. If you are missing Effects simply put them in reshade-shaders. My Download contain all Effects i used. I've also re writen my "Guide" just a few days ago so maybe re read the section on updating.
Thank you for your help! I was able to make it work by finding an official 5.1 version of reshade (latest one is 5.2)! and instead of looking for a "modules" folder, I just used the "ReShade" folder that namh creates.
My last problem doesn't seem to concern anything about your guide, I'm getting a compilation error for AtmosphericDensity.fx and I don't even know where to start troubleshooting, I copied all shaders and textures from GShade to my ReShade reshade-shaders folder .
A red compilation error? There's a post on here basically saying you have to get the whole GShade Shaders from the GitHub to make it work.
Truth be told, the first time i saw the Effect used was when i got it from this Genshin ReShade: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KS1Rxf-qmEM https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aZ9zk9u3VJ4zMaWdyhM6PcYH27jqNEkm/view
Just try and take the "Include" Folder and AtmosphericDensity.fx thats in there and copy it into your reshade-shaders. You also need some textures iirc but ReShade will tell you. Make sure there is a EffectSearchPath configured for the "Include" Folder in your ReShade.ini or set it Ingame with the ReShade Console Settings Tab.
You are one hell of a good person, thank you very much, I was able to finish the guide from start to finish with this few changes in the method and files.
In short, this is how my installation differsfrom your guide, so if others have problems, they can try this. - In my case I didn't have a "modules" folder, but instead a plain "ReShade" folder installed by Namh in /NieRAutomata/ReShade - I had to look specifically for a ReShade 5.1 installation file, which is not really difficult to find. - Used your gshade files https://drive.google.com/file/d/1aZ9zk9u3VJ4zMaWdyhM6PcYH27jqNEkm/view
With all of this, no errors arised, no effects duplication, everything runs nice and smooth... well not nice and smooth as I'm using the psycho preset hahaha, I still didn't finish the guide tho, just wanted to say thank you! I'm at the very end and I just have to play a little bit with ReShade!
When I am Extracting the Reshade to Namh/modules folder I am not seeing that folder is there something I missed? I really want to try out this mod. Any help would be great thanks. and thanks for making this mod.
You have the NAHM Mod installed but don't have the NAHM/Modules/ReShade Folder? Install the Game, Install the NAHM Mod. Then use Windows Search to find the "modules" Folder If you install on desktop it should be C:\Users\XXX\NAMH\Modules Now delete the ReShade Folder from C:\Users\XXX\NAMH\Modules and replace it with the ReShade Folder from my download.
I started all over again. This time I couldn't even find the NAMH folder even if FAR and reshade 4.9.1 ran succesfully in game, so I created the folder and dropped your resahde folder in both C:\Users\XXX\NAMH\Modules and game fold. (god knows what I was doing) It turned out FAR and reshade 5.1.0 both worked in game.
However, new problem appeared. It's all blurry just like it was in water and it said [AspectRatioSuite.fx] failed to compile. Low.ini could work though. Is there anything I can do? Any help would be great. Thanks so much.
Thanks for your amazing work. Though I have trouble when I need to update my resahde to 5.1.0. (1) I'm not sure if I got the right reshade 4.9.1 folder. Is it in C:\Users\XXX\NAMH\Modules?? There was nothing in it, so I dropped your reshade folder in it and nothing was replaced. Then I launched the game, it still said I can update reshade to 5.1.0. So I guess I might get the wrong 4.9.1 folder. (2) So I tried to download reshade5.1.0 from https://reshade.me/?. It was an exe file. When I launched it to install, it said there was already a dxgi.dll. If I delete the dxgi.dll in game folder, the exe file can install reshade 5.1.0, but when I launched the game, FAR couldn't run. (3) Then I tried to download reshade 5.1.0 zip file from https://reshade.me/releases/7951-5-1?. I just had the same problem as I mentioned in (1).
There must be a ReShade Folder in there. If there isn't you are in the wrong Folder It's in the all caps "NAHM" Folder. Use your Windows Search and type Modules to locate it. ([...]\NAMH\Modules\ReShade) _____________________________________________________________________
You can install ReShade in the Main Folder and onto the NierAutomata.exe Then you'd need to put my ReShade.ini and 5 Preset .inis in the Main Folder. Shaders go into their corresponding Folders that where created when installing ReShade. Not recommended if you want to use other Mods
You can use Special K FAR Then you'd look at Special K FARs documentation on how to update ReShade. There's a guide on their Discord. Then you'd need to put my my ReShade.ini and 5 Preset .inis in the right FAR Folders Shaders go into their corresponding Folders that where created when installing Special K FAR I think FAR creates those in [...]\Documents\My Mods
You can use NAHM. NAHM already has both FAR and ReShade 4.9.1 integrated. Here all you need to do is locate the "old" 4.9.1 Folder and replace it with my "new" 5.1.0 Folder ([...]\NAMH\Modules\ReShade)
You can use a Modding Guide on Nexusmods for this Game like "The Definitive Nier Automata Experience". Those show you how to Mod your Game and install the latest ReShade. Once you've done that all you need to do is place my ReShade.ini and 5 Preset .inis in there You will be missing some Effects. Look for them in my ReShade Folder or Google them.
All you need is: - My ReShade.ini - My 5 Preset .inis - All Effects that i'm using
Then you obviously need to place them to wherever your current ReShade Installation is. I don't know how to better explain this. If you are using NAHM there's an Info Tab which has documentation to everything you need to know regarding this.
The easiest way for this to work is to use NAHM and then locate where NAHM has it's ReShade Folder. Delete it and place my ReShade Folder there instead. That's how my "Guide" in the Mod Description is supposed to work.
E: You can ignore the AspectRatio.fx problem. My ReShade doesn't use it. Deactivate it if it's activated for whatever reason
Hi, I'm having trouble getting your custom reshade to work. I've followed your instructions, placing the folder named ReShade from your modpack in the modules folder in NAMH. However, when I load up the game and open the special k plugin in game, it says Reshade (custom) and when I hover over the box, it says "please install ReShade (custom) to D I cannot check the box next to ReShade, so I'm assuming it isn't detecting the folder or something. I have two drives, NAMH is on my C drive while the game is installed on my D drive. All of my other mods work fine, it's just ReShade that doesn't. I have no clue what to do to fix this, any help would be appreciated.
If you are using NAHM, Special Ks ReShade settings should already be setup correctly. I installed the Game, installed NAHM, installed Mods through NAHM, activated all Injectors in NAHM when i started the game both Mods, Special K and ReShade worked just fine. I then updated NAHMs 4.9.1 ReShade installation to 5.1.0 ReShade by deleting the old ReShade Folder in "Modules" and replacing it with a ReShade 5.1.0 installation with all the Effects (i then took old non included 4.9.1 Effects and non-standard Effects and put them in the new 5.1.0 folder) (my ReShade Folder you donwloaded is a direct copy so you don't have to look for old 4.9.1 Effects and non standard Effects) Then you only need to place any Preset.ini and ReShade.ini (for pre-processor-definitions) in NAHM/Modules/ReShade and it should work.
Sorry it doesn't work for you. Maybe someone else here can help you

just paste it in that folder?
- quint_rtgi 0.33 or newer
- qUINT_motionvectors
- qUINT_regrade
- quINT_solaris
- qUINT_physical_dof_MKII
there would be no way to put them in a separate folder and upload on the internet
go to

and search for rtgi

Thanks, for the feedback. This helps me and other people!
I just updated the "Guide" accordingly.
My namh reshade folder: \NieRAutomata\ReShade
reshade-shaders
dxgi.dll
ReShade.ini
ReShade.txt
ReShade_setup.exe
ReShade32.dll
ReShade32.json
ReShade64.dll
ReShade64.json
But still, reshade won't load, this of course doesn't happen with namh's reshade. After loading my reshade backup it works again.
Once again, thank you for your work and help.
