Some may work still, but many probably won't anymore. It's something of an early historical record of AMUMSS, written by Mjstral, who is also the original author of AMUMSS.
I can't get .net 5 to get it downloaded. I clicked on the AMUMSS test if setup properly. CMD showed that it could get it and install it. CMD just had a blinking good time. I tried downloading it from the Internet to install it. Not a single site to download it from. Microsoft started to download the SDK with net 5. That's a creation kit, tool for windows. I thought I just needed the .net 5 and it isn't loading without that addition SDKit.
Is there some way around getting that .net 5 installed from another source that Google Search didn't offer? I've got Windows 10 Home and nothing was available in the offer for W 10; it doesn't have anything for my computer, I guess.
If still a problem, come to the NMS Modding Discord, which is also the home of AMUMSS. We have an #amumss-lua channel and normally somebody around 24/7 who can help. https://discord.gg/22ZAU9H
I will go to that Nexusmods link first. I chose x64 from the list in Microsoft's webpage. There was another one with ARM64. I was certain that wasn't the one I needed.
*UPDATE* on testing with the portal. It seems even the one I placed to used disappeared - I guess the cache was cleared - and also when a friend joined he couldn't see it at all although it did start to spin when he teleported to me.
Really needs adding to the description that no players other than yourself can see these items Plus they cannot be used thinking they will stay as permanent fixtures
This laborious task of logging in/out of the game changing 1 .pak file at a time is actually quite pointless and a complete waste of your time.
**BE AWARE** Some items cannot be removed from your game once placed even if you revert to a previous save. Just lost 30 hours of base building as I now have a wonky portal cutting through it.. This mod needs a warning in the description. I've tried restoring to a previous save, even tried restoring from a couple of hours earlier - it's still there!!
Just restoring a save folder backup from yesterday and will try and use a couple of earlier auto-saves to see if that works. Where the hell does this write to?
Just confirmed in creative mode that the portal must write itself to something other than the save file. I placed it and then just reloaded my last save and it was still there. Plus you can't remove it.
What this did highlight was all the ground I had removed to place it was back - untouched. [ ! ] Backup your savegame folder [ ! ]
Manual save your game now.
To place the portal put a floor slab two low walls down from ground level and place the spawner. The front of the portal will be 90 degrees clockwise from the spanwner button on the front. Then place another floor slab another low wall lower in front of the button. Stand on this so you can see the E to spawn while keeping your view as level as you can.
This image shows what to build and where to stand. Make sure you are using the internal view and are as level facing forward as you can before pressing E. http://prntscr.com/p041yv
You'll have to dig yourself out, but don't worry just reload your save and all the earth will be back, the spawner and slabs will be gone, but the portal will still be there ;)
Wow sorry Virtualburn. I did not expect that at all ! But as I see you are using that as your benefit. But I think this is just the temp extra save stuff in the cache folder. Switching the solar system and returning might remove the stuff.
Hey Mjjstral, I think you might be right. It'll need some further testing. IS there anyway to add these items to the build menu for placement? Even if it's just a handful of .pak files you could add for the purposes of building. That would be great. OR a method of going through and viewing the items prior to using them.
Game won't boot with this mod installed tried many times, thought it maybe a mod i have installed along side this one disabled everything besides this from vortex mod manger no go ether way.
This mod is the only mod that prevents my game from launching. It doesn't even appear to crash, just fails to start while this mod is active.
I've tried: Restarting PC, disabling all other mods and reinstalling the mod (verifying correct file location) too but nothing works sadly for me.
I have about 26 other mods that all run fine so I don't know why this one won't. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know because this seems like an awesome mod!

Wow! 4700 mods.
They look like all the parts for building everything in the game, to me.
Can they be used in their present state?
There's a repository of (almost) all Luas written for NMS, including these, at MetaIdea/nms-amumss-lua-mod-script-collection: A collection of public amumss lua mod scripts for nms. (github.com). Updated daily.
