You'll find most mods will have to wait a week or so to update because the compilers that we use to edit the game files needs updating after every update of the game. This means that it's somewhat out of my hands, thankfully though the files that are used for this mod are generally updated first as they are used in a good majority of mods.
But only time will tell,
Also, usually after a game update like this, multiple smaller hotfixes are released after that can warrant further changes to the compiler. We saw this Desolation, which forced me to update this mod twice during it's life, even though it was based on the original Desolation update.
So, in conculsion, it's somewhat out of my hands at the moment. But hopefully i'll be able to update this within the next couple of weeks (fingers crossed).
I can't seem to get this mod to work. I have several other mods installed, none of which should interfere with this one, but the game refuses to speed up the analysis time. It still stays at around 4 to 5 seconds, rather than the 0.5 seconds the mod should change it to.
You say you have other mods installed and they should'nt interfere, but if any of them uses the same file as this one it will stop working. I'd try and use this mod on it's own, if it works, re-introduce all your other mods. If once all the mods are re-introduced it stops working, most likely there is a conflict.
If the mod doesn't work on it's own, then that's a bigger issue. To be honest i haven't played in weeks so i'm not sure if it still does, but from what i can see no major updates have been released so i don't see why it wouldn't still work.
Any chance the Parallel Universe mod could be messing with it? Have you ever had any issues with that mod? That or the Rosetta Stone mod? I refuse to believe any others could be conflicting with it.
And if you have no experience with these mods, I'll take the course you suggested and start troubleshooting.
Yea, that'll be the conflict. Parrallel universe covers alot of files, including GCGAMEPLAYGLOBAL which is also incidentally the one that this mod relies on.
If you know what you're doing a merge is a fairly simple process, but if you've got no modding experience, there are a few programs that can help you. https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/565 This one for example should be able to merge any two mods, i've not used it personally but from initally viewing it looks reputable. If you fancy a shot at doing it yourself, here is a guide: https://nmsmodding.fandom.com/wiki/Merging_two_mods
i use your mod and i'm very happy with it, i have a problem now , i downloaded a 3x3 tech mode and now fast binoculars doesn't work anymre. can u please help me by merging these two mods for me? PLs Pls Pls.
I am using the .5 sec mod and it looks like it all works except the distance to resource nodes does not show up. I am using another mod that does more words per touchstone but I removed it and still had the same problem. I will try the 1 sec and see if I still have the problem.
Hello, just to be clear the distance to resource nodes, is that the number that shows up just to the bottom right of the center reticle while in the binoculars? If so, this is working perfectly fine for me, i'm unable to replicate the issue you're having. I didn't do much testing, but i tried each version of this mod and came up short. Let me know if anything changes, or if you're able to replicate this somehow, and if anybody else has experienced this, please reply to this, because if it's a player wide issue i'll definetly need to look into it.
Just to give some context into what i've actually made changes too, this type of behaviour seems impossible. The only thing i can think of that might cause issues like this is an update to the file, but if i'm not mistaken there have been no further updates since desolation other than small bux fixes that have not modified this file in anyway. I'll double check this of course, but as it stands i can't replicate this behaviour.
Thanks, let me know if anything changes, i'll get back to you once i've made sure the files are up to date.
Update: I've just unpacked the newest game files and compared them to the files in this mod and everything is identical apart from the few changes I have made, These changes are a simple integar change within the scan time variables, meaning unless the files were outdated I can not see any conceivable reason for the distance to resource nodes not appearing. I'll let you know if anything else crops up. But for now, unless other people are experiencing this i can't see any other reason for this happening, other than something may be happening on your end.
Sorry for taking so long in reporting back. I really don't know why it happened, my game is up to date. I did go to the 1 sec. file and it works fine so went back to the .5 sec. and no deal so I am using the 1 sec. one. Could be on my side, I've had the game installed for a couple years now and been playing around a lot with different mods and different saves. When I get back to another save I will try the .5 sec. one on that and see if it works there.
Hey, thank you! I may have used your mod at one point haha, but i couldn't stand the slow scanning speed after the update and realised no-one had released a desolation update, so thought people could use it. Appreciate it! :)

There is already a new scan mod https://www.nexusmods.com/nomanssky/mods/1686
No need to have multiple at the same time.
Enjoy :)
I'm unable to update this for the next week or so.
hopefully in that time someone else will create a similar mod for origins.
if not, i shall update this within the coming weeks.
regards,
Miky.
There's so much to scan and its SO SLOW. If i knew how, I would, but rely on your expertise to slaughter the painful delay.

Miky,
Scanner mods break with every update, for some reason.
Any way I can fix it?

I'll go ahead and try merging the mods. Thank you so much!
