No Man's Sky's huge Worlds Part II Update has finally dropped and changed the way mods work drastically.
The mod had to be rebuilt to adapt to those changes, that's why it took me a while this time. Also life has been keeping my fairly busy so apologies for the delay.

Should you run into any issues, please feel free to leave a comment and let me know. It should be fine though from what I've tested so far.

With all that said, have fun playing and exploring, as usual!
Thank you for your support! :)

    IMPORTANT - Please read:
With Worlds Part II there is new instructions for installing mods for No Man's Sky.

    1. Go to <YourNoMan'sSkyDirectory>\GAMEDATA\PCBANKS and delete or rename the file called DISABLEMODS.txt.
    2. Now move to <YourNoMan'sSkyDirectory>\GAMEDATA and create a new folder called MODS.
    3. Download the mod and unpack the ZIP file. Then copy the folder (eg. "cb Planetary Flight Fixes") straight into the MODS folder.
    4. That's basically it. You can start up the game now and it should work as usual. :)

With the new changes to how the game handles mods there should be (almost) no compatibility issues anymore so there is no need
    for .lua files anymore.

Edit: Fuel consumption works as intended again. Please redownload the mod. Lowered from 25% to 5%. If you feel like this is too low, please feel free to leave some feedback. Cheers.

      Thank you! Cheers, mate.
  3. Your mod is the latest one updated for hovering in WP2, so i'll try the Lite version, i really already go fast enough.. and never noticed fuel costs unless i land like 10+ times quickly.., but i'll try it and see if i notice any negatives with it, tyvm for providing mods like this!  =)

Hi, your METADATA\REALITY\TABLES\NMS_REALITY_GCTECHNOLOGYTABLE.EXML seems to be the game's original (or at least contains way too much data at 1.9MB, 43,503 lines), compared to another launch cost mod's file which is 1.9kb, 49 lines.

Unless I'm misunderstanding something this might be a wrong upload?

It's effectively preventing other mods from working that would otherwise be compatible with the new modding system  =]

Correct, the changes were made very quickly for the latest game version on that file.

I've planned on shrinking it down to a much smaller size but I simply haven't had the time to do so lately.
I'll try to update it over the next week as life is keeping me busy currently.

Edit: Found a hot minute to shrink EXML file size and entries down to the bare minimum, please redownload
the mod for the changes to take effect. Should be way more compatible with other mods modifying the same
      EXML files now. Cheers.

Your instructions are outdated, there is no DISABLEMODS.txt anymore, now they should (but may not) work right out of the gate, but most mod makers recommend deleting Binaries\SETTINGS\GCMODSETTINGS.MXML (the game will remake it, deleting it is to clear any 'disable' settings that may be active, which I never had an issue with personally but apparently some do).

Would this mod be the reason I sometimes crash into my freighter when trying to dock?  You get stuck inside the model and are forced to ALT+F4 the game.

I haven't encountered this bug in hundreds of hours of play, so I can't say for sure, but my mod doesn't change space flight behaviour at all so it shouldn't be causing this issue. Likely a bug inside the game or another mod conflicting possbibly?

Lua files are still needed for merging files that overlap

You can find .lua files under the "Miscellaneous" files section now. These require AMUMSS version 5.0.0.0W or later to work properly.

      Cheers.

Hi! I attempted to add reverse flight when on a planet, but changing the value of
    <Property name="MinSpeed" value="0.001" />
    to
    <Property name="MinSpeed" value="-1" />
Causes me to yeeeeet backwards when trying to land (Holding E to land if there is no safe place to land causes you to get yeeted backwards mackII)

Is it possible for you to add this into the mod? Or as an optional to the Lite version?
Rly love the speed and handling, so going to another mod that has reverse flight is off the table :)

I've added versions with reverse flight as optional files for both the regular and the lite version of the mod.

Sadly holding E while unsafe to land will still accelerate your ship backwards quickly, it's the main reason why I kept the hover as the default for the mod. I haven't found a way to prevent that yet (don't know if it's even possible). I think that's just how the game handles negative values being applied.

Landing should still work perfectly fine most of the time, my advice would just be to brake first and not hold E down for too long, gently tapping/holding it down only shortly usually works as well.

With all that said, glad you like the mod, cheers!

That file only contains edits for reducing ship launch fuel costs by 80%. So the base cost goes from 25% to 5%.

causes jank. ship will spaz out if you turn too quick, seems more prevalent in more complicated biomes. tbh no noticeable difference that makes it worth it

Never had that issue with this Mod (I only use the Lite version) and have been using it since it came out.

simalar issues with me.   cause may be linked having to high stats while boosting and or turning.  fairly consistant and game breaking.

game breaking in the way of i can now no longer see the camera broke.

I haven't been able to reproduce this, but this sounds like a game engine limitation and not something I can fix in the mod itself. I might release a slower version in the future and see if that helps.

Just replying to say that I am also having these issues, I can also confirm it is caused by having a ship with big stats, probably causing an engine limitation (like you said) by going too fast for the game to handle, shame because I like all the other changes your mod makes.

Am I the only one having trouble getting this mod to work?

Tried both versions, nothing is applying, can't hover, ect ect

Yes I know about the new folder pathing, and the other 12 mods I installed all work fine

Just wondering if it's something on my end, because for me this mod doesn't work at all

Omg, you are absolutely right. Apologies, I had a minor typo in the code, I didn't even realize it at first.

Thanks for pointing it out. I fixed it, please download it again and give it another shot. My bad!

Yep that fixed most of it! Thanks 👍

However I'm still getting charged the default fuel cost for taking off (25%) when using the standard fuel difficulty

Weird. I'll have a closer look and see if I can fix that. Thanks!

Edit: Okay, I've tried multiple things so far to fix fuel consumption and all failed to work. Gonna wait for a MBINcompiler update to get the latest files decompiled since many are still from the 5.29. Until then sadly not much I can do.

Will take a look again once monkeyman publishes a new MBINcompiler release.

Launch fuel cost should be fixed now. Reduced from 25% to 5%.
