Yes, there are 3 added images for the icons, you can get them by extracting the .pak using mbinc. put the images in your MEFTI and recompile should fix this issue
Sorry for the dated reply, I had to rebuild my computer. The texture files need to be placed inside of the "TEXTURES" directory. I made it so that you should be able to just copy and paste the entire "TEXTURES" folder from the unpacked mod into the MEFTI directory, instead of having to move individual textures.
Can't figure out how to make this mod work. I have extracted the files, renamed the DISABLEMODS folder, but I don't see the crafting items available to purchase from any of the terminals or markets listed in the notes. Any tips?
It says so in the mod description. This is NOT a cheat, or an easy way to get currency. This mod specifically aims to make paying other players easier than relying on estimations of material worth. Instead of having to guess how many A.I valves you need to pay someone with, you can pay them with exact amounts down to the thousands of Units/Nanites/Quicksilver. Hence the Name, Galactic Standard Currency.
With the addition of the Nanite and Quicksilver Credits, Communities can now offer rewards for events that were previously difficult - Impossible to give (nanites needed to be refined from mould/tainted metal, quicksilver was impossible)
If you do want to use this mod to get easy money, there are tons of vanilla methods by which you can make more of a single item, or you could always edit the version of the lua that you downloaded.
or i can do better. and i have. im not using these worthless mods with a million conflictions and almost pointless uses anymore. instead im using a save editor. have a nice day.
Hope you can make a version that makes crafting the quicksilver credit harder to make. Feels a bit like cheating to when the materials are so easy to get. I want more ways to get quicksilver than vanilla but I still want to earn it. A good idea for a more balanced version would be to make the Nanite one to require the Credit one (plus extra metals) and the quicksilver one to require the Nanite one (plus more metals) of the same value. That way each tier of currency cost more to make in addition to the currency required. This would be for single player mostly but that would make exchanging money an equal trade but the rare currencies for upgrades and cosmetics would require a greater exchange of money.
I've been looking at that I may add the recipe for the quicksilver credits to be purchasable from the quicksilver synthesis companion, Make new requirements for the nanite credits, requiring purchasing of new chips from tech vendors And add a quicksilver chips available from the synthesis companion But I dont know yet.
I may also add illegal credits that give you 1 - max amount instead of a solid rate but make them cheaper to make. It just depends on balancing and stuff
Its a good idea especially since mods that add quicksilver as mission rewards and such are outdated so being able to turn rare recourses, nanites, and money earned through gameplay into the rarest currency is a nice way to get quicksilver for those who don't want to grind daily multiplayer missions while still requiring work. I definitely think making the currency chips require the one below it in rarity works. also make the market value for credits equal to what was put in+ market changes (basically trading stocks)
for example: 100,000u Credit chip= high capacity encrypted microchip+ 50 gold (worth 100,000 credits +market%)
10,000u Nanite chip= 100,000u Credit chip+ circuit board (worth 100,000 credits OR 10,000 nanites +market% depending on where you sell it)
1,000u Quicksilver chip= 10,000u Nanite chip+ 100 silver+ "counterfeit encryption key"(can only be purchased on the black market on space stations and pirate stations) (worth ALOT when sold in pirate systems)
This system means for every 1,000 Quicksilver you need at least 100,000 units+material (1/10 diminishing returns) but if you do some trading, you can make extra money along the way and if you decide to sell the Quicksilver chip instead of using it you can make a handsome profit on the black market. You can also add a "Quicksilver voucher" to the nexus store that is just a perfect legal Quicksilver credit that allows you to turn extra quicksilver into a card of equal value that can be sold for units or traded for players for those who have everything unlocked.
This basically creates a currency trading network and alternate means of acquiring wealth. (crypto in NMS)
I finally got around to figuring out how to add stuff to the synthesis companion, so now quicksilver cards cost quicksilver to make, as I had intended for a while
In the future, I aim to add little lootbox type consumables to the tainted metal merchants and the pirate systems that rewards anywhere from 100-10,000 of any given currency, just to add a little spice to the game
not finding the quicksilver or nanite stuff in the space station shops i have no other mods that affect shops. i have 1 for more words from npcs and knowledge stones and 1 that expands the tech slots in my exosuit.
I'm looking at space stations galaxy shop for the items to craft nanites and quicksilver but just cant find them. Are they located elsewhere?
LUA's almost ready, im not really familiar with the language + I've only been using c++ for a couple years so I'm heavily leaning on the discord community as I make the lua ?

When you download the mod, combine the script in Amumss with other mod scripts.
Now you can play with multiple mods.
Besides that, again, this mod was NEVER intended to be a cheat. Save editors don't let you pay players anyways, so.. yeah.
Good luck and happy exploring interloper.

Moved them to the tech shops as a balance but currently they only show up in the exosuit shop
The Lua has been made (thanks to Jackty89)
