Hello Devilin, i really appreciate your efforts in changing vehicle controls to the keyboard instead of camera movement- a rather annoying trait HG fails to rectify themselves. I have no right to ask anything of you and, not being a programmer myself, I don't know if its possible but could you maybe do the same for the starship as well? I and many others would love it if we could experience flying the starship like we do in games like GTA and ace combat. It is okay if you do not have the time and i don't expect anything from you, I just thought i'd draw your attention to it. Once again, thank you very much for this mod. I am loving it so far. Good day.
Flying with keyboard is most likely going to be problematic, as there is no alternative control scheme for this. A lot of the movement relies on analogue ranged input, where keyboard is purely two-state only. I could have another look into this when I find some time, but I am not going to make any promises.
In case of mod conflicts, you can now download the respective LUA files from the 'Miscellaneous' section. These were created by Babscoole for use with AMUMSS.
I am sorry, a late reply, but I don't have LUA files for you. My workflow does not make use of AMUMSS. I would be willing to look into providing these if often requested, but that has not been the case so far. You are the first.
That said, new changes to modding No Man's Sky are now under way with the latest experimental update (January 3rd 2025). This will take some time adjusting, various modding tools included. Will have to see how this affects my workflow and/or ease of use in general. These changes may, or may not make things easier going forward
Yes you can, just be reminded that 1st person view still requires keys to steer, while 3rd person view does not.
I recommend using one of the Custom Mappings of your choice without installing any of the .pak files. See: How to use Custom Mappings > when doing this manually You will have to make some edits in a text editor of your choice, by removing the 4 full 'KeyMapping2 Property' blocks for left and right, to only be left with the 4 for forward and reverse. If you are using the P-key, you may still wish to use the Disable KeyP mod.
Note: If you already have other custom mappings, make a backup. You can then try to either combine the above with your own, or reconfigure your own in-game again after.

Modding has changed slightly. Check the 'Description' for further info!
LUA files are now (most likely) outdated, but will remain available.
I have yet to look into updating those to work with 5.50+.
The 'manual' TKGAMESETTINGS.MXML files (optional) with version 5.01.1 are still compatible.
Any issues, please let me know.
Appreciate the feedback, glad you enjoy it.

Or does it also include ships as well?
