Hello! I am actually new to NMS modding as a whole. I was curious, how would this impact multiplayer? Would another player simply see me phase through walls? What if I were to visit a friend's freighter, would that be changed as well?
To be honest I'm not really sure what would happen as I don't use multiplayer, I believe other players would see you walking around floating above them as the bridge floor is higher in the mod and you would probably not see them as they would be underneath the floor from your perspective and they would still be experiencing the vanilla bridge, their freighter will change to you but not to them unless they were also using the mod then you should both see each other correctly. I can only suggest give it a try and see what happens. JJ
Thank you very much for the update. This is one of my best and favorite mods! Without it, the captain's bridge is like a basement! I am very happy with the update.
Sorry to make you wait and to my surprise not a single file needed updating, this is just the previous version in an unpacked format, the game still reads old files even though HG have made changes throughout since Worlds 2. However I did need some time to get the hang of the new system and still go through and check every file for changes that would make a difference. Hopefully Trading Post Revamp will be the same and is next on my list. JJ
At the moment I don't even know if I can, Hello Games have made substantial changes to game files, how mods now need to be made and how the game handles them and unfortunately for mods like this and Trading Post Revamp it's going to be a nightmare. However it's very early day's and I'm only just starting to learn how the new system and new modding tools work and what can be done with them. If it can be updated it's not going to be for quite some time....sorry. JJ
I export the files of your last version mod. I used the “PSArcTool” tool for this. It works the same as Winrar. When you hover the .pak file over it, you can open it.
Yes I know, the mod still works in an unpacked state but I still want to check a through certain files before uploading an update and I'm going to wait until HG's updates die down a bit so I don't have to check things more than once, I will also be doing all of my smaller mods first so it may still be a while.
Great mod!! TY for updating!!! You know that one section of hall that gets replaced by the mod just before the bridge (directly connected to the bridge)? Could you change that to a scanner room instead??
Do you mean the little corridor that joins the bridge to the rest of the freighter ? If yes then no I'm afraid, it probably could be done but it would be a massive amount of difficult work that I just can't see myself doing, that little corridor it has now was one of the hardest parts of the mod to do.
Warping to a new system will cause what displays over the center terminal to change, it will also change the flags, pot plants, coloured lights, npc chairs and the bobblehead figurine on the captains helm desk. You don't even have to warp with the freighter for these things to change too, if you warp to a new system with your star ship then summon your freighter these changes will still take place.
Not sure what you are talking about, there is only the one captains command at the front in all freighters and the side terminals can have Npc's either standing or sitting { will change from system to system }
