Hey, I'm using the Mages Guild Teleporters mod - if I warp to Bruma, it puts me in the destroyed version. Also, of course, there is no teleporter in the restored version. Any advice on fixing these? Construction Set I suppose?
I know it won't be 'lore-friendly" but would I add the original members to your mod? Tried using the ` key to play them inside but no luck so far. Tried using: prid moveto player enable
Technically, the members of the Bruma Mages Guild are not actually killed, but simply rendered inaccessible when the quest begins. The Bruma Mages Guild's interior will be swapped with a different set of interior cells that contain dead duplicates of the members, but the originals will remain alive and won't be disabled. Therefore, it is possible to "save" the guild members by moving them all to a distant location (using the Command Humanoid spell, Console commands, etc.) before A Plot Revealed begins so that they won't be in the building when the interior is replaced.
I added this to my game many years ago and loved the result. I'm replaying Oblivion at the moment and I'd forgotten about this mod until I saw the wreckage - a quick search brought this up and it's installed. It is lovely to have the guild active - I too doubt the fires could burn forever and the inhabitants of the guild are nice to have around - I like the way you chose them! So, thank you again. I'm not sure if I said thank you first time round but I had obviously endorsed it. So, in case you ever pop back here - many many thanks.
Does the rebuilt Bruma Mages Guild contain a copy of The Wolf Queen Book 3? It existed in the original Bruma Mages Guild, but once Manny wrecks it, it is gone and CANNOT BE FOUND ANYWHERE ELSE IN CYRODIIL.
You should add the book yourself using Construction Set or console command. Since Bruma Mages Guild is the only place on base game has this book if i remember correctly.
For once I'm with the majority. I was happy to see Bruma MG restored and restaffed. I've tried a couple of other mods that were supposed to do this and I wasn't happy with the results. But the place looks bright and happy again, the staff are helpful and it's nice to regain the link to the Master Restoration Trainer. Thanks for the work. Well done.
I don't know what you're talking about. BrumaMGRestored.esp doesn't contain ANY records pertaining to Frostcrag. BrumaMGRestored-Frostcrag.esp only requires DLCFrostcrag.esp (and BrumaMGRestored.esp) as a master. And that ESP places the teleport pads in the same location that the Frostcrag DLC does. Works fine for me!
For me, I am unable to run the DLCFrostcrage.esp, it crashes the game as soon as I try to load a game.. The Mage Guild is back up and running and CultistO's addon mod works great.. The 5 day wait seemed a lot longer, but I am happy with the devs work, just wish the Frostcrage thing worked..
In case anyone else thinks J'Skar should come back once the guild is restored, you can go to the guild and use the following console commands:

EDIT: "This mod doesn't work, I don't know where the problem is but I'm having the same issue as another user: "I can't get it to work. Not sure what I'm doing wrong, I've waited 5 days and bruma guild is still burning." NOW WORKS. Needed a patch for Open Cities Reborn which was on that mod's page.
