About this mod

Permissions and credits
Name: Guardians of the Nine Part I - Akatosh Chantry
Version: 1.0
Date: 01/06/08
Category: Weapons and Armor
Requirements: Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214
Author: Eventine Shangea

Description
===========
Inspired by Jeremy's Knights of Tamriel (http://jw_mcguinn.rethan-manor.net/page1.htm), this mod adds four powerful guards (two at day and two at night) infront of the Temple of One in the Imperial City Temple District. They wield a unique armor set and weapon believed to be blessed by Akatosh himself.

The armor is of course playable.

Location
========
A special chest is located somewhere in the Imperial City Temple District. Look around!

Details
=======
It is believed that Akatosh has entrusted four people with the responsibility of protecting the empire in times of darkness when nobody else can. These four people wear a special armor set believed to be crafted by one of Akatosh's followers and blessed by the Dragon God of Time himself. These four people can be found guarding
the Temple of One in the Imperial City Temple District.

In addition, Akatosh left a special gift only seen by certain people, including the player character, in the
Temple District.

The armor set is slightly stronger, a tad more durable and lighter than Daedric.

The four guards have the same schedule as Temple District post guards. They also level the player until the player
is level 30, so those who love killing guards can find them quite a challenge. If you're smart, you can use
Toaster's Companion Share and Recruit to recruit one or all of them. Great success!

Install
=======
1. Extract the files (Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh Chantry.esp and Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh Chantry.bsa)
to Oblivion\Data\ folder
2. Start Oblivion Launcher, click 'Data Files', place a checkmark beside the Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh
Chantry.esp).
3. Enjoy!

Uninstall
=========
1. Start Oblivion Launcher, click Data Files, uncheck Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh Chantry.esp.
2. Delete Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh Chantry.esp and Guardians of the Nine - Akatosh Chantry.bsa.

Incompatibility
===============
It shouldn't conflict with anything, but any mod that dramatically changes the appearance of the Temple District
can cause some major collision and placement problems for the guards and the chest.

Known Issues or Bugs
====================
On the back of the helmet, there is noticable stretchiness that kinda messes up the gold strip. Lancillotto, the
helmet's creator, has tried several ways to fix the UV map, but unfortunately the results weren't favorable. If
you wanna give fixing it a shot, please contact me.

The guards may sometimes not follow their schedule and just stay in their places all day, due to A.I. overload.
Sadly, I can't do anything about that.

Since the guards have the same A.I. as the Temple District Guards, they occupy the same barracks when they sleep so some may not sleep because all the beds are taken. Then again, who visits the Legion barracks anyway? :P

Anything else? Please contact me.
