No version for vanilla Oblivion without required better cities? I am crying :C
Works well with vanilla but the included master file for Better Cities is required. I think this mod is one of the most underappreciated there is for Oblivion. It needs more endorsement!
Yes, that requirement listing is probably deterring many from trying this mod out. I am not sure if the author is aware of this contradiction of requirements. It clearly states better cities as a requirement on the downloads tab but in the description it list it as compatible not requiring.
Nevermind.. Made it work with All Natural - Real lights, although there are some light sources that I can't extinguish. and it still rocks! Now all I'd like is to change the button to extinguish with, so I don't accidentally pick things up.
I have been told I shouldn't use the old RL as it will cause saved game bloat. I was also told I can't use AN RL + ETL (getting numerous missing meshes signs in-game with AN RL activated), or use Thieves Arsenal + AN RL + ETL, or some such combo.
Thanks for the reply Ismelda. I have Josef's real lights installed and have re-installed both mods manually but the problem persists. I can't extinguish the torches, chandeliers, or candles on walls.
I have Extinguish the lights placed last in my load order and real lights directly before it. I've also run the game with nothing but the necessary files to run this mod so I don't think it's a mod conflict. Thanks for any help you can give me. (:
@KiwiNinja: Extinguishing lights only work on real lights. Most of the torch at the castle are fake. Now if you are using Real Lights (the old version and not the new one) they should be replaced by real lights and with the meshes provided by Extinguish the Lights, you should be able to "touch" them with your arrows. If the conditions are respected, make sure that the meshes installed by Extinguish the Lights are present in your data folder (aka just copy them back there).
Hi, I've used this mod before and it worked perfectly. I'm now using it and for some reason I cannot extinguish any torch-like lights like those found in the castles but I'm able to extinguish all candles.
I'm using the real lights version and I have the better cities resources installed. Any ideas?
Ahhhh... Reminds me of water arrows from the Thief series. I'm glad there is a mod like this. Lights are really annoying when your trying to steal stuff.

Does it work?
Does it work with BBC 6.0.9?

It is all very confusing. I was pointed to the Thieves Arsenal - for use with Darker Dungeons and Real Lights download by PetrusOctavianus, but was also told he used the old RL so I shouldn't use that version of TA anyway....rrrr
I want to sneak and get rid of lights!

Can anyone help with the batch patch?
