Description
Levitate, Slowfall and Jump like you used to in Morrowind. Experience Super Jumps that can send you flying across entire continents.
Requirements
Oblivion Patch 1.2.0.214
Oblivion Script Extender (OBSE) v0015 or higher
Movie
Watch The Lost Alteration Spells Demo at Youtube (best when watched in HD) or download it here in the Files section. YouTube's normal quality version looks horrible, so try my low quality version instead.
How to Get the Spells
Look around the Imperial City Market District for posters of a new event. After the event you will have found a book that you can read to learn the Lost Alteration Spells from. Gain new lost spells at each alteration skill level advancement (like novice, apprentice, journeyman, etc.) by reading the book again.
Levitate Details
My version of Levitate began with Daesdemon's levitate script as used in thePOSTALdude's Modular Oblivion Enhanced levitate spell. I have made many modifications to how levitate functions, but you will still find some similarities, as detailed below:
- Controls function the same as when you are swimming underwater. This means that when you look down and move backwards, you levitate upwards. This has made combat with levitation possible, just like in Morrowind.
- Levitate anywhere, including indoors and in Oblivion planes.
- When levitate ends you fall to the ground realistically, not instantly. You will take falling damage or even die if you fall too far.
- Levitate will work whether you are walking or running. However, if you wish to change your speed, use sneak to reduce it by half.
- Levitate dispels itself once you touch the ground. If you are on the ground when you cast a levitate spell, it will not dispel itself until you have left the ground and landed.
- Levitate will dispel itself if you land on water. If you are swimming and cast levitate it will fail and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- There are three different levitate spells, each one longer in duration and faster than the last.
Slowfall Details
Slow your falls as if you were using a parachute and land without taking falling damage. Use it when falling to avoid death from hitting the ground too hard. Below are the details:
- Directional controls during Slowfall allow for some horizontal movement.
- After Slowfall wears off you will fall realistically to the ground, taking damage or even dying.
- Like Levitate, Slowfall also dispels itself once you touch ground or water.
- There are three different Slowfall spells, each one longer in duration and slower falling than the last.
Jump Details
The Jump spells increase your jumping height and distance traversed. There are three different spells, each one longer in duration and more powerful than the last. The first one will double your jumping ability for fifteen seconds, while the third one is six times your normal jumping ability for one minute.
- You cannot cast a Jump spell in mid air; It will instantly dispel itself and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- You do not take falling damage when a Jump spell is active.
Super Jump Details
In Morrowind you could use large magnitude jump spells to literally fly across the entire continent of Vvardenfell. I have recreated these "Super Jump" spells for Oblivion. There are six different spells, each one more powerful than the last. The first spell is about twelve times more powerful than your normal jumping ability. With the sixth spell you can easily jump over White Gold tower or jump from the Imperial City to Skingrad. Listed below are the specifics of how Super Jumps work:
- Super Jump spells differ from the Jump spells mentioned above in that you can only jump once during the spell's ten second duration.
- The duration of the Super Jump spell is your time limit to perform the super jump.
- The Super Jump spell will dispel itself if you leave the ground without jumping. Meaning that if you cast a Super Jump and run downhill, it will dispel itself and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- You cannot cast a Super Jump in mid air; It will instantly dispel itself and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- Super Jump will dispel itself if you are swimming. You will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- Like the Jump spells, you do not take falling damage when you land.
Long Jump Details
There are three Long Jump spells, and and they have the same rules as Super Jumps. The difference is that you don't fly very high, just far. Long Jump 3 takes you about the same distance as Super Jump 3 does. Listed below are the specifics of how Long Jumps work:
- Long Jump spells are like Super Jumps in that you can only jump once during the spell's ten second duration.
- The duration of the Long Jump spell is your time limit to perform the jump.
- The Long Jump spell will dispel itself if you leave the ground without jumping. Meaning that if you cast a Long Jump and run downhill, it will dispel itself and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- You cannot cast a Long Jump in mid air; It will instantly dispel itself and you will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- Long Jump will dispel itself if you are swimming. You will hear the Alteration spell failure sound.
- Like the Jump and Super Jump spells, you do not take falling damage when you land.
Compatibility Between Levitation, Slowfall and Any Jump Spell
- While using any kind of jump spell, you can cast Levitate or Slowfall, and the jump will be dispelled.
- While levitating you can cast Slowfall, and Levitate will be dispelled.
- While using Slowfall you can cast Levitate, and Slowfall will be dispelled.
Incompatibility
- You will not be able to use another mod's levitate while using any of my spells.
- The compatibility between my spells does not hold if using another mod's levitate spell.
- Do not use any mods that will fortify your acrobatics while using any of the jump spells. I have accounted for fortifications like Vampirism and enchanted armor, so anything from vanilla Oblivion is okay.
Known Issues or Bugs
The high level Super Jump, Long Jump, and Levitate spells can crash your game if your system is even the least bit unstable. This is due to the extreme amount of data being loaded while moving through Cyrodill at speeds Bethesda never intended.

Credits
Thank Daesdemon and thePOSTALdude, the original creators of levitation. Thank Lord Vegeta for the inspiration needed to do this mod. He helped with the Morrowind lore, created Farhiel, Farhiel's book and Farhiel's posters. Also thank Scanti for the great OBSE plugin: SoundCommands. Without it I could not have made the realistic falling after Levitate or Slowfall wears off.

You can do whatever you want with this mod but all I ask in return is that you give me credit if you distribute any part of this mod. Remember that Daesdemon and and thePOSTALdude are the original creators of levitate, so be sure to credit them too. I would also like to know what mods are including my work.
