Another superb and clever mod. I love the kitchen arrangement. It really appears functional. And, of course, the hot home-made soup really marks it as a real home. It is one room with a basement, but is so well arranged as to be spacious as well. Emma really has the knack for this.
I wish it were not so close to Aleswell, as that is my main house. I could really use it near Leyawiin, Bruma, Chorrol or Skingrad. Whole parts of Cyrodiil are without your lovely homes with their hot soup, coffee and bread. You have spoiled my characters! Now they all want these things wherever they are. They all want to stay home. Perhaps you could make us a mod that installs these things in their homes and inns. ;-]
Seriously, thank you for another really outstanding mod that is well made, well planned and lovely.
Yes, I know it's a bit close to Aleswell cottage, but I liked this place so much that I had to make another house here. The location is also so handy, close to the inn.
I have indeed made a house outside Chorrol - the Lakeside Home but nothing in Skingrad, Bruma or Leyawiin. In Cheydinhal, there is another cottage that has the same features as my cottages: the Golden Sun Cottage by my daughter Majamikol. I absolutely recommend it, I think she has done a very wellmade cottage based on Stroti's meshes.
Making housemods is (IMO) absolutely no joy in Skyrim; I am tinkering - slowly - on another house for Oblivion, it is situated in Cheydinhal and really small but cosy.
Are you maybe using a mod that actually replaces the lady in the Roxey Inn? It's the only reason I can think of, as the dialog is indeed properly filtered for her and thoroughly tested. I haven't ever heard of anyone who doesn't get the dialog. As for Red Rose Manor, you are not supposed to buy the house, you are supposed to talk to people and do a quest.
Of course, if you just mean that you don't *hear* any dialog, this is because it is not voiced, and you need to have the subtitles on.
Like the Mod but I had to use console to access Cottage as the Dialogue to buy cottage didn't show up, I have had same missing dialogue problems with Red Rose Manor, Lakeside worked okay as you just buy a deed.
What I really need to know is why the dialogue to buy Cottage isn't showing up when I ask what's her name in the Inn? I get the same dialogue dead end for the Red Rose Manor!
Today, I have added a video of Roxey Cottage to the video section. The colors are deeper ingame, but I made the video a bit bright so that it should be easy to get an overview.
yes, although this is a small cottage that might look plain from the outside, it does have a breathtaking view over the city from the backside, and it's good to have an inn as a neighbor.
This makes a pleasant stopover on the West side of the Imperial City. I have the COBL version which workis fine. Thank you for this pleasant addition to player houses that are companion friendly.
That's good to know! "> I made the COBL-addon at the same time as I made the COBL-addon for Red Rose Manor, but then it hit me that I should upgrade the cottage with alchemy equipment, too, and I didn't get around to it until last night (silly, as it was just a few minutes work).
Also my Lakeside Home and Fisherman's Cottage have COBL-addons now, and I will eventually get around to do it for the other ones, too (Aleswell, Waterlily and Bravil Bridge).
- The Luggage - Alchemy sorter . - Dinnerplate - Waterbarrel in the basement
I have choosen to make a COBL-add-on instead of a full COBL-version. My main reason for this is that I tend to continue to tinker on and improve my mods, and then I don't want to have to alter two esps. Obviously, the add-on has to load AFTER Roxey Cottage, else many of the COBL-functions won't work.
