Oblivion rough install guide
Installing new and upgraded dungeons. As always, before installing anything, make sure you have back ups of all the files about to be overwritten, in this vid the SnusDungeon textures are overwriting your cave textures so make sure you have them "backed up". A problem I noticed was that after I installed SilentResident's Unique Castles the guards from MMM's City Defences started moonwalking against the city walls so for now I have disabled them. Before I started upgrading default "dungeons" I installed Ervvin's The Ayleid Steps and Cliffworms' Oblivifall - Ambient Dungeon SFX, the first one because later installs will adept to it and the Ambient Dungeon SFX for a more intense atmosphere in all dungeons. And by now I assume that if I write "install" YOU know that I mean to say: download from the Nexus, unpack to a temp map, repack the relevant parts to a .zip file, use OBMM to make an OMOD file of this, then make a backup OMOD of the files about to be overwritten and when that's all done INSTALL the OMOD using OBMM. With this done I interpret a dungeon as either "cave, fort or Ayleid", so: For caves I install first Scot and WalkerInShadows' Better dungeons and then SnusDungeons - Alternate version with the patches for [OOO, The Ayleid Steps and Better dungeons]. After this I install BastetGoauld's Light beam and dungeon mist retexture which give a much better blend with Snus darker dungeons. For the forts I use Guinefort1' Legion-occupied Forts and because I have disabled MMM's City Defences I select the Legion-occupied Forts - OOO Patch - Base + NPC Stats.esp for compatibility. Now some "new" dungeons. Beginning with the Ayleids I use NNW - Lady Rowena's NNWs Ayleid Ruins Expanded which sends you on a quest exploring some new Ayleids. Next I do some town dungeons with montybrad's Dungeons of Tamriel, then I add DemonLord7654's The Forgotten Dungeon and David Brasher's Dungeons of Blackwood. Of course this would be a good moment to introduce some of my own dungeons here but since these are more "landscape related" I will do this in the next chapter which focuses on "extended world spaces". After this I installed some of David Brasher's "special" dungeons, starting with An Old School Dungeon for the old timers, then Dwemer Ruins and Daedric Shrine Ruins for some Morrowind memories and - last but not least :) - Shivering Isles Root System for if I ever get there ... Concluding with ArtInPinkerton's Expanded Dungeons - Play Nice Edition which integrates Better dungeons, SnusDungeons and Legion-occupied Forts and also adds a Dungeon Overhaul Filter Patch for Harvest Containter which is a filter patch for ANY or ALL of the dungeon overhaul mods. After using OBMM to install these mods I use BOSS to adjust their load order, TES4Edit for some cleaning, Wrye Bash for integration with the mods already active and TES4LODGen to integrate anything on the surface in my landscape. As it turned out however Wrye Bash could not integrate the Dungeon Overhaul Filter Patch because of some problem with OOO so I had to uninstall it for now. As a remark, my lvl 1 avatar ain't testing any of this for now so in the next vid I havea look in game to see "if it all works" ... SnusDungeons @ http://www.oblivion.lima-city.de/files/plugins.html
