Not sure if its just me, but the auto-zoom-out feature doesnt work for me. If i zoom in, regardless of the setting in the INI i HAVE to manually zoom back out myself .
bnoabody: this is from the original mods' readme: "This mod lower the sensitivity of your mouse when you are in zoom mode and restore it when you zoom out. When you load a game the mouse sensitivity value is registered. If you want to change mouse sensitivity, do it from the Main Menu, before loading a game. When you are forced out of zoom (by someone talking to you or whatever) you are still in zoom mode, so your mouse sensitivity will still be low. To return to normal just use the mouse wheel (or middle button, depending on version you use)."
I use the "Binoculars" and "Night Eye Goggles" mods, which are perfect. Except that the Binoculars needs to be equipped in order to use it, and that can be a bummer when I want to equip the Night-Eye Goggles at the same time.
This is where I feel your "Toggle Zoom with Any Key" can help, as I can achieve the zooming while using the Night Eye Goggles! Telescoping sight for sniping in the dark of the night!
I understand your mod works with hotkeys and the configurable ini file is a great implementation. I was hoping you can add the functionality to use the MMB (Middle Mouse Button) and scroll wheel to toggle the zoom in FPM.
I love toggle key. I don't use it very much but it sure comes in handy when I do, way better than TFC. For some reason, my Oblivion mouse sensitivity control is disabled with this mod. I can move the slider to wherever I want but the setting always reverts after I close the window, as evidenced by reopening it. This happens if Toggle Zoom is the only mod enabled. I tried it with OBSE v19b and 20b4. This is after having loaded a previous savegame, and in the middle of playing, not at the main menu, although that setting doesn't stick either. Maybe a conflict with Darnified UI?
Touche! Perhaps so. I did think about it more after posting that comment, and I meant no offense if it had seemed to had been implied. Yet another reason to stop placing comments replies at nights.
Interesting... I was wondering how it worked and had noticed the 'FoV 90 -- no zoom' image. Now I'm interested in finding out how this could be done. Anyways, thanks for all the responses.
Edit: I'll let you know if I find out anything or so. Take care.
If it were so easy, we'd have already such a modification on the Nexus or wherever, don't you think?
As for the zooming in/out in the FPP, it works by decreasing/increasing the field of view. It doesn't work well for the TPP. Anyways, I'll think about it.
Hahahahahah! Sorry about the lack of clarity in my initial comments. I am often uploading, commenting, or replying to comments and emails late at night.
I would imagine a 3rd person adaptation to be rather easy, don't you think? Perhaps all that is needed is the syntax command for the 3rd person camera mode or the syntax which detects which mode is currently active. From there, one could probably modify the existing script by switching out the First person camera mode syntax command with the 3rd person camera mode syntax command (or detection). If that works, then all that is left to do be done is to finish up new feature and bring it all together into one neat package.

This isnt intended right?

EDIT: I have given kudos to you for your efforts!
And... it's done.
As for the thing you need, I've been doing my own research, but no luck yet.
