good mod but if someone knew how to edit/improve the mod so that betting on arena combatants to fight (they are the same faction) would actually work, that'd be great.
mod saved a lot of NPCS fighting for no reason in cities for me and stopped brawls from breaking out. this friendly fire mod is good with other mods that add extra NPCS
EDIT: I went inside the ini.text and changed the delay between sweeps of the script, in seconds. It allows the arena combatants time to fight now but warning: some fights may be interrupted if you increase the time in the INI. so be sure to save before arena gambling
Also made a version with changed <faction> arena spectator combatants because that is annoying to be interrupted.
i noticed in the function of the mod. samefaction was being used. i changed that to samefactionaspc, as to not alter other factions behavior. i was going to just isolate it to the player faction, but with most companion mods, a special faction is created. hope this works, been a thorn in my side.
I have 4 ally from some gm plugin quest, after battle vs stong enemy all console comands uselless, that mod awesome, it save me. Now i try disable mod now and enable if they ff again.
This seems to conflict with Fearsome Magicka, resulting in weird NPC behaviour, much as described by Anton0028 below. Using both I had weird behavior from companions, guards and enemies. Using either I have no issues. No idea what is causing it.
Be careful using this mod while betting on arena matches as they are the same faction. The combatants will never start their fight and you will be trapped in the spectator stands unless you kill one of the combatants using the console command.

However, when I go to the console, I see an error message:
"File: skycaptains NPCFF.esp Offset 0x0099 Command: Call error in script a1000803 Could not extract function script in call statement"
It doesn't seem to adversely affect the mod, it just hangs out in my console log, looking at me.
Sounds to me like you have a mod conflict with something else.
It is not fair ! Who need such peaceful companions now ?
