I'd like to help you, but I don't know what E3 is. Also, the rain in the screenshot is not from this mod. Hmm.

OR has its own rain shader - the one shown in the screenshot, I guess. Also rain indoors has nothing to do with Downpour - which is a simple retexture/remodeling. I'm pretty sure OR mod authors will help you with this issue.

Hi all! maczopikczo, thank you for rain, its great!
Need help: i have a weird bug-  when its rain or snow, far in the sky above my head appears a black spiral. Its  turns and gradually descends around my character to the ground. But i see the rain(snow) too. Its not the Downpour's mod bug, but i dont know where to ask about it. I deactivated NatturalAtmospheriqOblivion, Downpour, Snowflackes, Different func in OR, ENB, but with rain and snow spiral still appears. Its (the spiral) consists of black rectangles in a staggered order. I have a Bevilex' mod list plus some gameplay mods (like MOo, ooo and etc). Pls somebody help:)

This has probably to do with Oblivion Reloaded...

      UPDATE!

I fixed this by removing the DXVK mod files from my game folder. It was indeed a problem with Oblivion Reloaded (ORL64F in my case.)
I removed all files with dxvk in the name and now everything works fine :)

      LOL!

That is a rather radical solution.

You could also just had un-commented
(= remove "#" in front of it) the line
"d3d9.FloatEmulation=" and set that value to "strict"
in your "dxvk.conf" file instead to fix the Oblivion Reloaded rain.

Yeah I "could" have done that, except for the fact that I have no idea what any of that means and there's literally a 0% chance that my first thought would be to edit a random config file and comment out some random line.

:D I see how it could seem intimidating. But thanks, Wiepman - that's excellent help (I wouldn't have the slightest idea what it was).
Also, I'm sorry for not checking comments more frequently these days. I've got heaps of stuff going on in RL, but I'll be back.

Also had this issue. And yep. It happened after attempting to use DXVK. Sooo... the fix is going into the dxvk.conf and making sure this line reads as... " = remove "#" "d3d9.FloatEmulation= strict " ? Is that correct

Solution does not work at all. black squares remain even after deleting the dxvk. Maybe AMD is a reason but before dxvk I didn't have this problem.

You don't "delete dxvk", you edit the file dxvk.conf in the game directory (same directory as oblivion.exe) and add the line

      d3d9.floatEmulation = Strict

If you don't have the dxvk.conf file, create it.

Definitely an issue that crops up with OR:
Bug: There is a black descending spiral that slowly descends to block the screen and seems to be related to the rain.
I tracking the cause for this bug from quite some time. It seems to have some relation to the TSC preciusion (a CPU hardware counter, that some cpu family have bugged or imprecise) when the OS fail to compensate for the error.

A workaround is to add a saturate in the rain and snow effects, don't remember the exact line.

For some reason I'd ended up with a missing texture for rain. This saved me from hideous purple shite in rainy weather. With the added bonus that it looks really cool and goes perfectly with All Natural.

Thanks, I use AN myself, and made it with that mod in mind. As for the previously mentioned issue (blue-ism), I've been moving to a new place, and haven't finished yet. I'll look into it as soon as I'm done.

Hey, I'm not sure if anyone has had this problem, but instead of looking like the provided screenshots my rain textures look really blue and unnatural.

Are you using any water or precipitation shaders like Oblivion Reloaded?

With some mods that provide colour correction (eg. OR) the colour of the raindrops may indeed seem bluer than in the screenshots. I'll have a look at it and provide an optional further desaturated version.

A de-saturated version to work with OR6.5 would be great.

What mods were you using to make the game look like in the screens?

It's vanilla with my own textures, All Natural, and Cinematic ENB (plus water from an ancient standalone water mod that was later included in OR).

Not sure if i have any conflicting mods but the rain in my game looks considerably bluer in colour than it does in the screenshots. The only other mod i have that could possibly affect the rain is Weather - All Natural but i can't find any variable to adjust the rains colour in the .ini file. Has anyone else had this problem?

Weather All Natural has an option that makes the nights darker and apply a blue tint.

I'm sorry to hear it doesn't look right in your game. (And I'm sorry for belated reply, too) Do you think you could send me a screenshot so that I have better idea where the problem is?

    Hey!
Not sure if you're still active, but I'll take my chances!

Anyway, I can't get this to work. Here's a screenshot of my game without Downpour installed:
    ?
And here's a picture with it installed:
    ?
As you can see, they're essentially identical. I tried installing the mod both through Wrye Bash and manually - it still looks the same. I'm using Oblivion Reloaded, though I disabled the weather functions and deleted the weather.ini that came with it. I am also using Weather - All Natural (which is why I deleted everything weather-related from OR), but that should be compatible according to this mod's page. Any ideas?

Those raindrops are not vanilla Oblivion nor DOWNPOUR. Most likely it's something from Oblivion Reloaded.
