Oblivion rough install guide
Starting Chapter 08: Brave New Worlds As always, before installing anything, make sure you have back ups of all the files about to be overwritten. After installing Betty's Groundcover for no grass textures the OR grass shader crashed and after uninstalling her Groundcover I still had problems with it so I disabled the grass shader in my OR ini and put Alanet's Enhanced Grass dll in my OBSE\plugins folder and when back in the landscape I will install Betty's Groundcover again to see if it works now. There were some mods I have forgotten in the last chapter so I install them here. Starting with Strotis New Dungeon Meshes Playable Tomb for a tomb dungeon I upgraded some textures with Lougian's Forts Ruins retexture and Usher's Parallaxed Daedric Shrine Ruins. Then I used viceroy1's Better Statues - Daedric and Alastor117's Daedric Katana and Daikatana to make some last daedric changes and finally Sundabar21's Particled Ayleid Stones. Then some mods I wanna give a "honorable mention" though I'm not installing them because they are for city dwellers so I - probably - would not notice them even when seeing in action. These are bkrisher Guiles' Vaults of Cyrodiil, elderscrolliangamer's Oblivion Uncut, PrinceShroob's Oblivion Content Restoration Project and kvatchcount's Unused NPCs - Compatible Version which all have in common that they are interesting extensions of "city life". A special mention for Lollerich et al's "moDems City Life Beautiful People compatible" that seems to be incompatible with Arthmoor's Alternative Beginnings which I will install at the end of this guide and from where I will start my new game.
